章節 36: Disha-
"Ok", he said coldly, without looking at me and without showing any interest in why I let go of the chance to see this beautiful city and decided to stick with him. Which to be honest made me a little upset, almost too little to show on my face.
"Ok".
Few seconds later the car stopped. I rolled down the window only to find the handsome hunk Alex to wait outside with a few more people. A valet came as we both stepped out and took the car key from Raidan.
When I looked at Raidan he seemed completely different. As if infront of me it was a different version of Raidan.
"Welcome back boss", Alex and others said in unison.
At this moment I felt as if I was witnessing a CEO drama. It was exactly the same. Raidan gestured towards me to follow him up close. So I quickly stood closer to him.
"Is everything prepared?" Raidan asked in a super cold tone. I knew his cold tone but never this one.
"Yes, boss. Lucy has already prepared everything", Alex replied.
"You've checked everything?" he stopped and looked sideways at Alex.
"Yes, boss. I've already placed everything in your office", Alex replied as if giving his attendance in the army.
"And what about the thing I had asked for?"
"It's safe with me", Alex said with a reassurance.
He got closer to me and placed his right hand on my waist and hold on tight and then he pulled me closer to him and whispered, "There aren't really any women in here so if you feel awkward just keep your eyes on me".
I just showed him an 'OK' using my hand.
"Do you want me to introduce you with them?" he whispered again.
"No", I said directly "I want to keep a low profile", I added because just a no might seem rude.
"Got it. You can relax in my officeroom or walk around the company, it's up to you. But if you choose the later one then I'll have to ask Alex to show you around", he said.
"I have been sitting for a while so I would love to take a walk around here. By the way, do you have kitchen or canteen or something like that, I feel hungry", I gave a helpless smile looking at his face.
These moments he is different, he is no longer giving the dominating CEO vibes. He feels warm now. And I love him like this.
"Don't worry, you won't have to starve when you are with me", he said as he shifted me to enter the office room.
The door closed behind us as we entered inside the room. The first thing I noticed inside the room was the infinity gauntlet which was proudly sitting on top of his desk. It's said that the people who possess this are very ambitious. I wonder if he's too?
As he walked in he took his seat and I sat down on the couch.
"What do you want to eat?" he asked, eyeing me.
"Anything will do!!" I responded.
"Come with me", he got up and hold out his hand, probably wants me to hold it.
But I'm not going to hold his hand, I stood up and walked towards him and then stood beside him. He put his hand inside his pant pocket swiftly to hide the embrassment . He then started walking and I followed him from behind. He walked to the left side of his officeroom that is hidden behind a wall. I am guessing it's his personal space, with a wardrobe and a small refrigerator and a fish tank, even though there are no fish. Also there are a few things that are used for exercise, the only thing I know among those is the dumbbell. He opened the refrigerator's door and gestured me to come close. I walked towards him.
"Choose what you like", he said with a smile.
I looked inside the refrigerator with an awe. Because it only looks like a refrigerator, but it's not a refrigerator. Because it's full of snacks. I took a few packets of chips and cookies. Then I closed the door. But as I closed the door he opened the lower door which was filled with soft drinks. I took 2 cans of soft drinks. Then he closed the door. Surprisingly the soft drinks are cold.
"How come?" I asked because I didn't understand how the upper space is not cold but the lower space is cold.
"It's custom made. The upper space for snacks and lower space for drinks. That's why the lower space is cold", he explained.
"Oh", I said as I started walk out of his private space. He followed me.
As we came into the front side, I kept 2 packets of chips and a packet of cookie and the kiwi flavoured soft drink on his desk, keeping the peach flavoured soft drink for me. He stared at me blankly, after I took my seat back on the couch, after leaving those on his desk.
"We both haven't had anything for a very long time. So, I can't believe that I'm the only one who is hungry", I said with a smirk.
He gave a smile as he took a cookie to his mouth. And I don't know how to explain but that smile felt genuine and warm. As if he was expressing gratitude by that smile.
He signed a few documents while having the snacks. My snacks were long finished. And now I was getting bored but I can't disturb Raidan since he's working. So I sighed. Raidan looked up at me, maybe.
"Alex, come in", he said on the telephone that is kept on the left side of his desk.
Alex came in and stood infront of the desk, in the attention position and said, "Yes, boss".
"Lam, can you please come here", he said to me suddenly, again holding out his hand infront for me.
"Sure", I said as I walked towards him.
This time I took his hand because I didn't want him to feel embarrassed infront of his subordinate. Because I've heard that for men their reputation matters a lot. So, I guess I'll just save his face.
"Alex, this is my fiance. Could you show her around the company?" he asked looking at him.
"Sure boss. This way ma'am", Alex said as he showed me the way.
I looked at Raidan and then remembered that, few years ago I'd read an article about, things that a life partner should have. One of them was, "someone who understands your silence". And right now Raidan is giving me that vibe. Because he understood that I'm feeling bored without my saying. Suddenly I'm feeling blessed. I'm feeling so blessed that I almost forgot to notice that Alex had called me 'ma'am'.
"I thought you were feeling bored", Raidan said as I had been staring at him.
"Alex, can you wait outside? I'm coming", I said to Alex.
He nodded and walked outside. I felt surprised thinking that a hunk guy like Alex actually obeyed to what I said.
"What?" Raidan asked, trying to read my face.
"Nothing, just wanted to let you know that I'm feeling blessed", I said with an honest and shy smile.
And then I walked out of the room without waiting for his response.
