章節 25: Disha -
"Hold on, I don't think we are talking about the same person", I said holding out one hand infront of her. "Uh..?" she let out in confusion, still dishearted. "I mean, the guy you are talking about has blond hair but my fiance has light brown hair", I rested my hands on my chest. "Really? Does he have any brother then?" she asked, hope filled up her eyes. "He.. He does. Hold on, the guy you are talking about, does he perhaps have black eyes", I asked as the only blond haired brother's face of Raidan flashed before my eyes. "No... He had brown eyes". "Is it him?" I showed her M's picture. She confirmed that it's him. "So is he not your fiance?" I shook my head, "No... Never!" I denied as quickly as I could.
Inside the house he has 3 bedrooms, including the master bedroom. But the other two bedrooms also had closet attached to them. There are 2 bathrooms. One master bathroom and a normal bathroom. The kitchen, dining space and living room are attached with each other. The living room has a fire place. And the master bedroom also has a fire place. The basement is behind the master bathroom. But the most shocking thing is, I've been looking for the stairs to upstairs for more than 10 minutes but I still haven't found it. I gave up after searching the stairs for more than 20 times . I went to the room where Raidan had instructed me to stay.
The room was already very cold when I walked in. Even the bed was like frozen cold. I went close to the heater to turn it on but it didn't work. I tried to turn it on so many times but all in vain. I need to tell Raidan because my body has started to give up. The aches are almost unbearable now. I took out my phone to call him but I didn't have any reception cause I hadn't changed my SIM card. And even though I'm connected to the Wi-Fi but I can't call him cause he doesn't have social media. Not finding any way to contact him I looked for the other options I had available.
Option 1: Stay in this room and freeze to death.
Option 2 : Sleep in the sofa infront of the fire place.
Option 3: Look for heater in other rooms and sleep there.
The first option is definitely not possible cause I can't take the risk of death and
I didn't like the second option cause I don't know how warm I'll be sleeping there so I choosed the third option. And that's why I went to the other room but the heater of that room didn't work either. So I finally went to the master bedroom, which is obviously Raidan's bedroom. As much as I hate to invade his privacy but I still need to sleep because I can't tolerate this pain.
I left a sticky note on the wall infront of the shoe rack saying that, "Sorry for invading in your private space but none of the other rooms had a working heater". I walked into his room and realized that the heater of that room was already turned on. And then I closed my eyes and covered them with my hand so that I can't peekaboo. I somehow managed to walk to his bed and I lied down intending to sleep.
I didn't realize when I fell asleep but I woke up hearing some noise coming out of the room. Probably from kitchen. At first after waking up I only kept looking around, taking the surrounding in. "Where am I?" I questioned myself running my hand through my hair. As I looked around, nothing caught my attention as much as a staircase. Seeing that staircase I remember where I was, I also remembered that the stairs that I was actually looking for before going to sleep was hiding here.
I quickly got out of the bed and was walking straight to the staircase then I heard it again, the noise that was coming outside of the room. At first I thought it was Raidan, but then a negative thought came to my mind. "What if it's not Raidan?" I whispered under my breath. "What if it's a deranged person? But then again if it was a deranged person doesn't this house have a burglar alarm?"
I searched for my phone and then instead of going up the stairs I choose to go out and check the who it was. Cause I can't let a deranged person harm this house in my presence. "Hello, who is it outside?" I asked out loud as I twisted the door knob and walked out. Even though I'm sacred but I tried to sound as natural as I could. "Isn't it foolish to say that out loud? Won't I warn the burglar?" I thought back in my head.
"Hey you are awake? I'm sorry!! Did I wake you up?" I heard a beautiful voice say. And this voice sounded like a music in my ears. This voice chased my fear away. Cause I knew who it is the moment I heard it. It's him!!! It's Raidan, the love of my life and my soon to be husband!!! Unknowingly a smile found its way to my face.
I somehow managed to control the smile and looked over the kitchen island only to find him there standing wearing an apron. And by god, I never knew that a man can look that hot just by putting on an apron. I felt so hot by the view infront of me that I had to fan myself using my hands to calm me down. "Lam?" he called looking at me. "Yeah?" I asked suddenly surprised at what to say. "I woke you up?" his words sounded more like a reminder than a question.
"Yeah, yeah... Ummm... No!!" I said making my eyes bigger "It's not that.. It's..." I gulped "I thought a burglar got in, but it's you", I inhaled and exhaled once just to calm myself and I glanced over at my phone's time, "and it's almost dinner time... So, I guess it's about damn time", I tried to be funny. He bit back a chuckle.
"You don't need to worry about bugler. This house has burglar alarm, which automatically calls 911 once an intruder tries to break-in", he assured me about the security system as he walked towards me from the kitchen taking off the apron. "Why did you take off the apron...?? It looked so good on you", I said shamelessly looking at his body as he walked near me. And as soon as I realized that I had actually said that out loud I forced my eyes close and put a hand on my mouth.
This time he didn't try to hide the laugh cause I swear I heard him laugh. And then he moved closer to me and whispered to my ear, "If you like me in apron so much then after our marriage I'll try to be in charge of the kitchen so that you can see me in apron on a regular basis". It is literally nothing so hot or anything but it made me blush all the way to my cheeks. And the breath of his and the air against my ear made me ticklish.
"We'll see about that", I said as I moved away from him and went to the kitchen to see what he was making. But before I could see it myself, he told me about it and ruined the surprise. "I'm making bacon, hope you like it", he said with a smile. I looked at him and rolled my eyes. I tasted a cooked bacon with cheese and it tasted yummm!!
He also walked in but he just watched me from behind. And then a few moments later, he came over and put his hands on my both shoulders and pushed me off the kitchen and made me sit on the sofa,"Wait here cause you are distracting me", I felt my heart beats going faster again and I swear I could almost hear the beats. "So", he started as he went back to the kitchen and asked, "What did you do today?"
