Edie was so heartbroken, and a tear trickled down her cheek. A jolt of sadness ran through her, and she could hardly breathe. She always felt miserable about her life because when her mother died, she was only twelve years old, but at least she was a little older and had more time to spend with her. Stuart lost his beloved father at the age of eight and had to face pressure from all sides of the family.
He grew up quickly and didn't have a chance to enjoy his childhood. Edie felt so much grief for the helpless little boy. The more she found out about Stuart, the more she understood Stuart's cold nature. "Mr. Sampson, please teach me how to make tea. I want to apologize to Stuart," Edie asked. There was so much compassion in her voice that relief flickered in Mr. Sampson's eyes. He nodded, "Okay."
