I was in my room pacing back and forth in agitation. My eyes sprinting off to my wristwatch now and then. My anxiousness was at the crest with the passing seconds and there was nothing I could do to make myself placid.

“Sammy, calm down. Namit won't bite you.” Adya’s statement was confounding. I couldn’t understand whether she was trying to ease me out or was it a failed attempt to poke fun at me.

“Yes, at least not before marriage,” Aditi added further. My friends laughed at the nonsensical statement as if that was the joke of the millennium.

They were trying to vanish my discomfort, my nervousness, still, nothing was capable enough to help me.

I glanced at my wristwatch that indicated it was eleven. Namit was supposed to be there and from what I had heard about him I was aware he was the kind of man who values time.

“He is here,” Simran and Sonia said, joyfully, entering my room.

“Woah! Told you he would be on time.” Aditi exclaimed.
