When QinZhi saw his appearance as though he was wronged, she couldn't help but roll her eyes at him. He was being too pretencious. What she didn't know was that he was really remembering his first encounter with that fellow Lu Chang Yao. Hearing anyone describe the guy and what he knew about him, always makes him wonder if he was the one that sees things wrongly.
It was as if his skills had also beautified his character, and thus he was suspicious.
He planed to ask him how he pulled it off when they met. Of course it was just out of amusement. At the current stage he had reached, he cared less about things such reputation.
Perhaps for him this was part of the price hr had to pay for reaching his level of martial arts.
He didn't see any benefits in somethings, and could tell that only by having enough strength would others not want to offend him.
Having too good a reputation was also not a good thing, and he could be said to have a clear ideas about this. People were jealous of him, but over the years, didn't cross his bottomline easily.
He had already seen a few individuals with reputations and he has reached this point, but they are nowhere.
He also didn't just foolishly climb the martial arts tower alone, rather he had a group surround it. That was the Mystic Pavilion, but at this point, it had little impact on his strength.

A larger boat appeared in their line of vision and setting their eyes on it, both Luo Li and Li Xin smilled. They had arrived at their destination eventually.

Even though Mu Chen was not that talented in martial arts compared to Bi Yun, he was good at scheming against others. But this kind of method has little effect.
The reason behind all this might be the fact that had some good background in the Demon sect, and made him, complacent. That wasn't too shocking, considering how his grandfather, the supreme elder spoiled him.
It would even be more of an insult to compare him to Bi Yun as her speed of practice was just unreasonable. She had already reached the level of some of the strongest people in the Demon sect. He couldn't compare, and even more importantly, he lacked prestige.
When it came to scheming against the sect master and that is with enemies of the demon sect would not be a good thing. At that point, even his father would be able to protect himself let alone help him.
It was understandable for him to be panicked after figuring it out. The demoness was not a pushover and if things for not pan out, she would definitely seek out the traitor to settle accounts and the moment he cooperated with the hypocrites from the 'Righteous Alliance', it was already doomed to backfire on him.
It was much possible that when they failed or even if they succeeded they might end up abandoning him, to their benefit. The most efficient way to utilize his value would be to leak the information about his betrayal and start a conflict in the Black Lotus Demon sect.
How could someone good at scheming be incapable of doing this, as such he was going to make a move that would check that.
With such a move, he was going to be sure that regardless of the outcome, it could be able to save his life. The only issue was whether any of this would work before Bi Yun.
Even though a lot of people in the demon sect assumed that she was suffering from the skills she practiced and needed some kind of resources to make up for this, it was far from the truth.
This was something she had intentionally allowed to be known and in itself made most people drop their guard against her.
If one was already having an issue with the technique they practice, then it was not that a huge issue, but the reality was far from that.
She was more interested in collecting certain resources to push her skills and martial arts to the next stage, she was sure to enter the next stage as long as it was done properly.
This however was not something that she could say to others.
She was like Li Xin and the moment she heard about his going to the sea, understood he was indeed focused on the martial path.
She had challenged him more than once, and since she knew of the Divine Healer, it wasn't shocking for him to visit too.
It is understandable, after all when one reaches this level, their confidence is also still there as such they would not mind taking some risks.
The most important thing was that she was still young and vigorous. How could she be stumped by some obstacles?
All this was at least not the way Li Xin operated, he preferred to have the strength to crush the enemies and not fights that exchanged injuries for injury.
That is like seeking death, and the reason for this was that he saw the hope of reaching far with the existence of the panel. As long as his comprehension continued to increase, his strength would rise.
Back to Mu Chen, it was indeed not that he had not been smart enough to think things through in the beginning. He just assumed that the development of things would be suitable for him, but the words of the masked man seemed to wake him up.
As the two of them left the sect, he secretly thought, "This is a lesson for myself. If I want to accomplish great things, it is better to make sure that the plans always have backups. This issue for instance if it succeeded, no one would care, after all this is the demon sect. The situation would be different though if that woman came back alive. She might even be able to make another step forward, reaching the Unrivaled stage, at that moment who could match her."
He was not wrong in his thinking at all. They were the Black Lotus Demon sect, and scheming against each other would not be a big issue, but that was not the case when the person that was being schemed against was stronger and realized it.
Even his identity and the grandson of this supreme elder would lose meaning, considering his Bi Yun operated. She didn't gain the title demoness for nothing.
Bi Yun was just strong, and in the Demon sect, had no opponents that could suppress her.
Once she made a move, even his grandfather the supreme elder would just be injured or killed in the process. In the current world, not many figures had reached the Unrivaled stage an Bi Yun having her current accomplishments was not bad.
She also couldn't win against Li Xin all this time, because their is a chasm in their level, and only a few people know it. Others probably thing the two are standing on the same heights. But those that know also can tell how frightening a figure Li Xin was.
He was at Unrivaled stage at such a young age, and thus had more chances to go further. Bi Yun was even younger than Li Xin and she might step in that stage at any time, then, who could rival her. With the current strength of the Demon sect, at the time, she might be able to run rampant in the world, as long as she didn't go around offending those legendary existences if they really existed.
In the demon sect, anyone could challenge the sect master fir his position as long as they had the strength.
It was obvious that Mu Chen had some self-awareness to understand his inadequacies. Instead of trying to get stronger and challenge the current sect master, he wanted to gain power through schemes.
The thinking was beautiful, but narrow-minded, after all their sect was not necessarily a darling of others. Everyone seemed to want to take a bite at them, scheming to kill the strongest person in the faction was stupid.
The old guys present in the demon sect with strength rivaling that of Bi Yun would probably not be willing to be involved in any conflicts. Some have their lifespan on the clock while others are trying to see if they can take another step.
In a way, they would like the situation of the sect to be stable.
Stability can only be gained through strength. It was probably the reason that Bi Yun managed to gain control over the demon sect without much resistance.
But even so, she was not foolish as she even found ways to hide her chances of being promoted to the 8th stage.
No one can blame her, even Li Xin, who seemed to be crazy when he said he was going to stay in the sea, hoping for a chance to make some progress, but he was misleading the crowd.
His goal was something else and the reason he left on a boat with Qin Zhi was clearly to accomplish it. Other things were secondary, such as trying to train his saber in the sea region.
People assumed he was trying to get lucky by searching for resources, but failed to understand he was speaking literally. But they could not be blamed, as he was the leader of the Mystic Pavillion.
He might have been speaking in riddles, and even if he was not, no one cared, since any further improvement is considered stepping into the legendary stage.
Forget him, even other talents that have existed before him, seemed to not have been able to go beyond the 7th stage.
Perhaps the internal energy at this stage was refined much more than even the current Li Xin or its use was much more subtle, but that was it.
Such a situation did not seem to warrant any caution from others at all.
But in the end, someone like Li Xin did not seem to care much about the control of internal energy.
His concern was about making progress and not everyone was as confident as him. Most of the people wanted to be more practical.
Their achievements in martial arts seemed to have reached a ceiling and would better focus on having more power. This kind of situation where varying and it seemed to come from the families and even martial arts factions.
Having some kind of authority in this aspect seemed more like a secure thing when looking at their future.
What people like Li Xin and Bi Yun seemed to be after was different and in the end,p perhaps they were not the only ones. Since the legendary stage existed, it was obvious someone else had this kind of ambition.
For Li Xin, it was more than just that, he was more interested in seeing the impact of becoming stronger on his Lifespan.
It was obvious that even Bi Yun that had cultivated the same stage as him in the martial arts technique wanted to see if the legendary stage was true.
More importantly, she could feel it, there was still a way to keep improving, as for Li Xin this feeling was probably mutual.
The existence of the panel for him seemed to increase his boldness in pursuing higher levels.

When the boat they were on reached the ship, Li Xin seemed to be lost in thoughts.
"This ship seemed to bring back memories that I had almost forgotten." he thought to himself as he stepped towards the deck of the ship, from the boat. Unlike Bi Yun, Li Xin and Qin Zhu walked toward the ship the Divine Healer was in without hiding.
QinZhi seemed more excited than even him, as she was about to see her crush.
