With precision enhanced by his AI assistant, Su Nan skillfully added red maple leaves, bull's eyes, and powdered goat horns to the mix.
Soon, pink bubbles began to surface in the cauldron. In his mind's eye, Su Nan envisioned a massive wolf cloaked in semi-tangible red magic. The wolf seemed enraged but ultimately lowered its body and wagged its tail in submission.
Thirty seconds later, the potion was complete.
Su Nan poured the contents of the cauldron into six glass vials.
He sighed. "Only six vials per batch? At this rate, I can only make another batch before I'm too exhausted."
"But this will suffice for now. There aren't too many super werewolves in the territory yet."
"Once I become a first-class wizard apprentice, the difficulty and energy required for brewing such potions will decrease significantly. By then, this won't be a problem."
In the afternoon, Su Nan brewed a second batch of the second-tier [Fury Potion] and distributed it among the super werewolves in his domain.
Currently, there were seven super werewolves, leaving Su Nan with five remaining vials of the potion.
By evening, Su Nan made his way to the "Wolf House," a circular building housing the werewolf messengers. This structure had originally served as a barracks for Peter Barony's soldiers but had been repurposed for the werewolves, as Su Nan no longer needed a large standing army.
Upon entering the Wolf House, Su Nan was greeted by the glow of numerous green eyes piercing through the darkness. The wolves howled in excitement to welcome him.
Su Nan whistled, and the werewolves instantly transformed into their humanoid forms. They leapt down from the second and third floors, landing on the ground with heavy thuds.
Through the Wolf Pack Network, Su Nan identified the five strongest werewolf messengers and handed them each a vial of the super werewolf potion.
The chosen messengers eagerly drank the potion, their excitement palpable. The remaining werewolves could only watch with envy, silently yearning for the same opportunity.
But Su Nan's presence kept them disciplined; their loyalty to him overrode their jealousy.
As the five messengers let out thunderous howls, their bodies underwent a violent transformation. They tore through their skin, revealing more muscular and powerful forms as they ascended to super werewolf status.
Su Nan addressed the newly transformed super werewolves. "From left to right, you will now be known as Wolf Four, Wolf Five, Wolf Six, Wolf Seven, and Wolf Eight."
"These additional potions are for you—drink them."
He tossed them second-tier [Fury Potions] and [Mixed Wolfbane Potions], further enhancing their capabilities.
He then distributed [Mental Strength +1 Enhancement Potions] to Wolf One and Wolf Two, the original leaders of the werewolf messengers. Over the past few weeks, these two had been steadily consuming enhancement potions, bringing their mental strength to approximately 3.
To reward their loyalty, Su Nan gave them each a vial of the [Flame Claw Potion], the only potion in the werewolf series that required a minimum mental strength of 3.
This potion granted the werewolves the ability to control elemental fire, creating fiery claws.
Although other werewolves in the pack had become slightly stronger than Wolf One and Wolf Two, Su Nan prioritized those who had served him since their mortal days.
In their canine forms, Wolf One and Wolf Two wagged their tails enthusiastically at Su Nan, their affection evident. As informal leaders of the werewolf messengers and stewards, they enjoyed a comfortable life, their glossy coats and robust physiques reflecting their well-being.
Su Nan personally fed them the enhancement and flame claw potions. Flames engulfed their paws as they transformed into their humanoid forms, their claws marked with fiery insignias.
Each step they took left flaming paw prints on the stone floor.
"Using the immortality of the super werewolves as an energy source to fuel fire magic has created an incredibly powerful effect," Su Nan thought. "My creation, my magic—truly remarkable."
"This level of [Flame Claw] is likely equivalent to the fire magic of an average second-class wizard apprentice. Combined with their formidable close-combat abilities, they could easily decimate Storm Knights. It would take at least a Grand Knight to stand a chance against them."
"Even that one-star bloodline warlock from before might have struggled against Wolf One and Wolf Two had they possessed [Flame Claws] at the time."
Su Nan glanced at the back of the Wolf House, where fifty young hound pups were being raised.
The pups were still too young to undergo werewolf transformation; Su Nan estimated they would need another two to three months to mature.
Unfortunately, they would not be ready in time for his upcoming ascension to a first-class wizard apprentice or the exploration of the Four Seasons Garden wizard ruins.
This recent round of enhancements would likely be the final upgrade to the werewolf pack during Su Nan's current phase as a second-class wizard apprentice.
Earlier that day, Su Nan's mental strength had successfully surpassed the threshold of 20.
He experienced an odd sensation, as if he had become multiple people at once. His heightened mental strength seemed to allow parts of his mind to operate independently.
"So this is why wizards need to tame their inner selves," Su Nan mused. "As mental strength grows, a wizard's thoughts become erratic, much like how adolescents can become temperamental during growth spurts."
"To advance further, a wizard must resolve these mental disturbances. It's akin to a person over two meters tall having to address the inconveniences caused by their extraordinary height. Heart meditation serves to eliminate such drawbacks while simultaneously unlocking greater potential."
Su Nan issued an order to Super Werewolf Steward Wolf Three, stationed on the territory's outskirts, to contact the Forgotten Ones and invite them to the Hidden Realm.
He intended to conduct one final transaction with the Forgotten Ones before proceeding.
