Ellena squirmed under the covers as the morning sun shone through the room and hit her face. However, only for a moment, because the next second there was no more light to disturb his sleep.

"Why are you awake? Go back to sleep, Honey." Lucas said with his hands hanging down to protect Ellena's face from the sun's rays.

Ellena complied and closed her eyes even though she wasn't sleeping.

"Were you awake earlier, Lucas?" Ellena asked still with her eyes closed. But his arms wrapped around his husband's stocky body.

"Long enough to enjoy the beautiful scenery. I thought I was dreaming of meeting an angel. Your face when you sleep is really beautiful, Honey."

Ellena suddenly opened her eyes. "You mean I haven't been pretty all this time? Or if I wake up I'm not pretty?"

Lucas took a deep breath because it seemed like he was picking the wrong words again and again.
