章節 26: To the rescue!
Black Dragon Chasm.
One of the most sacred place all over Demonic Sky Continent. It could even rival the capital of Ancient Demon Empire. Inside one of the most luxurious room in the Black Dragon Palace, a meeting was being held by five people.
"How is the plan on the other side progressing?"
An old man with a slightly pointy ear and silver hair asked the remaining member of the meeting with a calm demeanor. This elder was wearing a black robe with lots of ominous accessories. His face was also full of wrinkles. Nobody knew how long this elder had lived since demi-human had way longer lifespan than humans.
"To be honest, it's slightly behind schedule. We still need a few years of preparation before we can actually attempt a large scale attack."
Another elder replied. This time it was an elder in green robe, a bald old man. His face was also full of wrinkles but he had a deep scar on his left eye. Since both his eyes were closed all the time, it was indiscernible whether he was blind or not.
"There are also the problem with the portal gate considering that the area only accessible by those Winged Associates and Aqua Trinity."
This time, it was a middle aged lady that commented. Just from her look, she could be said to be the youngest out of all five people present in the room. But again, women always tried to hide their real age. Nobody knew if this middle aged woman was really the youngest. She might even be older than the previous two elder.
"It's okay. The leader of those group already perform a blood pact with King Hitam Legam. They won't back down from the mission even if it means death. Also, it's not like other clan or group can do better than them anyways."
The elder in black robe from before added. The reasoning he pointed out was legit. Since those group already performed a blood pact, they couldn't betray the king they had pledged their loyalty with even if they wanted to.
The other two inside the meeting room was another old man with white hair who wore an outfit full of skull and bones while the other one was an old granny wearing a black hood. These two kept their silence all the time while the others were busy voicing out their opinion.
"The latest report we received was that the Winged Associates already started moving for Mercia Kingdom. Apparently Durahel Kingdom had fallen into our grasp and they were now proceeding for the second phase of the plan."
As the host of the meeting, the black robed elder continued his report.
"Whoa, their progress was quite fast. Those Aqua Trinity people were still at the first phase."
"Considering that those vampire from Vampyr Dudedom themselves leading them, it was normal to succeed that fast."
Praises after praises came out when one of them mentioned the Vampyr Dukedom. That dukedom might not be one of the big four, but they were still a big-shot nonetheless. Vampyr Dukedom was without a doubt one of the top ten dukedom here in Demonic Sky Continent.
There were four dukedom inside the Winged Associates led by Vampyr Dukedom. The other three dukedom were the BlueHarpy Dukedom, BiliardPegasus Dukedom and WingedMonkey Dukedom. They were without a doubt those who excelled in flight and wind magic. That was also the reason why they became the best candidates to take over the portal gate on top of a mountain.
"Any idea why the Aqua Trinity were delayed?"
The black robed elder asked. He was not the one in charge of the information from the Aqua Trinity side.
"I received a report from them last month but apparently they were still unable to press on. Their opponent was a guild of godkin, stalling them from moving further."
The bald elder in green robe replied. He was the appointed supervisor for the advance of Aqua Trinity.
"The portal gate being deep in the ocean indeed was advantageous to them but it backfired when the port town of the closest kingdom there were a base of a godkin's guild. At this rate, the Aqua Trinity wouldn't be able to occupy the first kingdom."
With a stern face, the bald elder elaborated their circumstances. The Aqua trinity which made up of Merman Dukedom, Naga Dukedom and BlueBloodReptile Dukedom would be annihilated if The Alliance decided to send their subjugation force.
The gloomy atmosphere continued as the meeting goes on. There were nothing else worth noting other than reminder of the dateline of the plan.
"Last message from King Hitam Legam was for us to remains vigilance. Be ready to deploy troop and support them should the occasion arise."
"For sure." "Gladly."
"Consider it done." "Easy task."
One after another, they replied with confident.
The black robed elder was Kelabu, the representative of King Hitam Legam, the legendary Black Dragon. This dragon king was without a doubt the strongest entity known in this world. Every HeavensTale player would immediately recognized the ferocious black dragon for sure since it was ranked first in the ranking of strongest raid bosses.
As for the other four people inside the room, they were all respective representative for each of the top four dukedom in Demonic Sky Continent. The union of these five great power was the current backbone of black dragon king's faction. After the death of the previous demon lord five years ago, this faction grew strong enough to contend against the crown prince to vie for the reign over the continent.
Now that the meeting was over, everyone left right away leaving Kelabu alone inside the meeting room. After confirming that nobody was there beside himself, Kelabu closed both his eyes and focused his magic power. His forehead split and a third eye appeared in the middle of it.
"Master, the meeting had concluded. Nothing out of the ordinary were reported either."
"That so. I can't wait until the time for me to rule over this world."
"It will be soon, your majesty. Soon."

"This… this is?"
Ria was confused when she saw lots of dead bodies all over the area beyond the space hole. She thought that they would meet Mays's stray spirit right away without any problem. The spirit rod opened a path between the two of them directly after all, one hundred meters of distance between each other to be exact.
Normally, people would at least observed the surrounding for more than ten seconds to comprehend the situation before taking action. That was true for most people. Mays was an exception though. Not even after three second, he already leapt forward leaving Ria and the rest of his spirits in the dust.
"Kraaaaak!"
Even though Ria was quite slow at her comprehension department, her reaction speed and reflect were top tier. She was the first who noticed where Mays was currently at.
With one of his knee touching the ground, Mays currently mounted his opponent. There was a huge crater underneath the head of the enemy who was half buried after Mays's attack. Even Mays's hand was still on top of his opponent's face.
Mays stood up soon after. The one he took down earlier was none other than Horiga. Mays's sight next stopped at a barrier in the middle of the battlefield, where three silhouette were blurry visible from the outside. He could barely guessed who was inside that barrier. At least, he knew who the one that erected the barrier was.
"Take no prisoners!"
Ria and the rest immediately joined the battle after Mays's simple command.
They didn't even need to think about anything afterward. It was normal for spirits to jump into any dangerous situation because it was their master's order but even Ria joined in without hesitation. Her trust in Mays ain't losing to any of those spirits for sure.
"I loved how simple that sounds hahahhahaha."
As if she was possessed by evil spirits, Ria rushed into the battlefield killing left and right. Vampire and humans present at the battlefield were all mere pebbles in front of her. She ain't called the pink demon for nothing.
"Hehahahahha! This is refreshing!"
At the moment, she was currently beyond happy. This was the first battle she had with Mays on her side ever since she came to this world after all.
"Lady Ria was on rampage."
Yeah. She looks really happy though."
Mira and Syaitona commented. They were also busy killing vampires and humans nearby. Even Aloha and Damia joined the fight from the side. The only one who didn't was Silvia. She was still quite weaken from that debuff she received back then.
At the very least, she already walked into the battlefield by herself. She knew that the space hole will disappear by itself after ten second. These spirits knew everything about HeavensTale rule more than the players themselves.
"Stop! We are on the same side!"
"Vampires! Kill those vampires!"
Those humans who were under attack from Mays's spirits begged them to change their target. Obviously, their pleading were ignored. These faithful spirits would carry Mays's order regardless of situation. They would kill whatever they were asked to unless they were ordered otherwise.
Unlike Mays, Ria didn't like showcasing her spirits all over. She never brought them together with her unless she had something urgent she needed to do with them. Most of the time, all those spirits of her would stay at Neverrain Mountain and manage things there.
"Ria, the short girl five meters at your right. Kill her."
Mays who easily managed to locate the enemies commander gave an order.
"Consider it done hehe."
Ria replied merrily.
"Krash!"
A huge crater appeared at Ria's previous location as she stomped the ground to gain additional momentum for her rush. Her target was none other than Allear. She was busy directing their lesser vampire army and was caught off-guard by the sudden attack and she got bashed head on.
"WHO THE HELL DARE TO DISTURB MEEEEEE????"
Allear who was sent flying several meters away flew upward in rage. She had totally lost her mind. This day was the worst day in her life. Never had she been humiliated like this before. She was a proud vampire after all.
"Come to mama, bitch!"
Ria taunted her with her usual domineering yet sarcastic tone. She even forgotten that Mays was currently present. Her habit just kicked in when she was in the mood. Mays who was nearby didn't bother with her foul language since he was already accustomed to it back in HeavensTale.
"I need to get started then. How long would you pretend to be unconscious? I knew from the very start that you're awake."
Mays looked at Horiga while killing stray vampire who came his way. There were more than fifty lesser vampire around while the humans fighting them were less than twenty. Mays never knew who these humans were but considering how they were geared, he knew that these people ain't the city guard for sure. Not even guards at the empire wore full plated armor like them.
"Gah. How do you find out?"
"Instinct."
Horiga who just stood up observed the surroundings. From the looks of things, he knew that his army of lesser vampire would be annihilated soon. The disparity in strength was just too big. Even Allear was not in a good situation.
"How strong are you?"
"Stronger than you for sure. Come!"
Soon enough, a fist flew past Mays as he evade it with minimal movement. Horiga started attacking him nonstop. One punch after another, Mays evaded them with ease. Mays even grinned when their eyes met.
"Faster please. You can't hit me with that slow fist."
As if evading alone was not enough, Mays even poured oil on the fire by commenting thus. With both hand on his weapon's hilt, Mays started his counterattack.
"My turn now."
One direct slash resulted in one of Horiga's arm detached from his body. Several more slash landed on his body making blood oozing from all over his body. Horiga hastily distanced himself from Mays after he was damaged severely.
Even without anyone reminding him, he knew how dire his current situation was. These people who just came and attack them was no normal human. They were at least at the level of humanity most elite squad.
"Gah, how troublesome!"
Mays's sighed.
The most annoying part for a player whenever they faced boss monster was not their high damage. It was obviously not their unusual long hit points either. The answer was high speed regeneration. Some boss could even regenerate faster than the damage it took over time by a whole party.
Those kind of hellish regeneration only applied on intermediate and insane bosses though. That was one of the main reason why players often look for better player to team up whenever they attempted dungeon raid.
Not even five second passed yet Horiga already healed most of his injuries. Even his lost arm got reattached. Mays was quite intrigued on what would happen if he destroyed the cut off arm instead but too bad he didn't have the opportunity to do so. Bosses class monsters were no fools either. Even Horiga who got his arm cut off immediately grabbed it before Mays could even make a move on it.
"Huh… huh… Who are you people?"
After several minutes, Horiga finally appeared totally exhausted. Regenerating his injured body over and over again obviously had a toll on him. Mays smirked as he already knew about this fact beforehand.
Unlike in HeavensTale where bosses could regenerate without using any MP, they consumed lots of magic power to regenerate in this world. That part was really a huge handicap for bosses in this world.
It was not like the players were without handicap either. In this world, it meant death once your head got looped off from your body. Missing limbs could still be reattached if they were fast enough to use heal on it but reviving dead people were off limit.
"Just some nobody. Ready to give up yet?"
Mays's attack became more ruthless while Horiga's became duller by the second. It was apparent that Horiga would lose the fight in due time.
"Not till my last breath. Blood Sacrifice!"
Horiga who was at wits end used a forbidden spell. His whole body turned blood red as all the blood inside his body rushed out from all his orifice and covered his body.
"Whoa. That looks quite cool."
Mays commented nonchalantly. There never was this kind of skill back in HeavensTale. This might be one of those original world skill mentioned by Jace back then. He did face several people with original skill back when he joined the tournament a few days ago.
"Ugh!"
The blood red fist landed directly on Mays's torso. Horiga's speed was boosted exponentially. Even his strength was at least doubled. But still, Mays wouldn't go down with just that. He did take several step back but that was all. His defense from legendary tiered gears equipped all over his body was no joke.
"That hurts a bit."
Mays wiped the blood which dripped out from his mouth. He did sustained some damage from that one punch.
"Time for me to buff up then! Sword Blessing! Magical Force!"
[Sword Blessing] was swordsman buff skill which gave additional slashing damage together with physical damage reduction while [Magical Force] was magic caster buff skill enhancing magical damage and magical resistance.
One of the enviable cheat which made hidden class overly domineering was that they could use two buff skill instead of one for normal class. This cheat made them extremely formidable in a free for all battle especially guild war and territory war.
"Hehe… It's the start of round two."
Mays looked at both his swords alternately. They shone dark red signalling the buffed effect was active. His whole body on the other hand, was surrounded by magical barrier together with several flying sword spirits orbiting around him. Too bad there was no spectators nearby. Mays current look was beyond majestic. He might even be called a deity if he showcased his fighting prowess after buffing up.

"What took him so long?"
Ria was tired of waiting.
"Sorry, master might be trying to further his attainments about how his skill works."
Damia apologized for her master. Apparently Mays was the only one who had not finished with his fight. The other enemies were all killed by them already. Even Allear was killed mercilessly by Ria. Not like a mere silver ranked intermediate boss could hold a candle against her anyways.
"Ah ya I totally forgot about that. No matter how awesome Mays is, he just come here recently."
Ria remembered the fact that Mays was not like her who was stranded here in this world for five years.
"But, master was fighting elegantly."
"I know right. It felt like master was enjoying it to the fullest."
Both Aloha and Mira watched Mays's fight in awe. They were totally captivated by the variation of Mays's movement.
"He ain't our master for nothing. Life and death battles looks like child play in front of him for sure."
Syaitona puffed out her chest showing how proud she was as she commented.
Soon enough, Horiga fell on his back, lifeless. There was a huge cross shaped hole on his body. Mays ended the fight with a swordsman skill [Twin Strike]. He then walked leisurely toward Ria and the rest of his spirits who sat nearby, observing his fight.
"Sorry for the delay."
Mays apologized with a sincere smile.
"No need to apologize master. We all understand."
Syaitona replied, followed by the nod of every single one of his spirits.
"Yea Mays. We knew that you were familiarizing yourself with skills and fighting quirks."
"Hehe yeah."
Mays agreed right away. There was no reason for him to deny it anyways. If he was faced with hundreds of opponents, he would fight them head on without flinching since it was his nature. The only problem that might arise was his own overconfidence. Familiarizing himself with his own prowess was the best way to avoid that.
He felt kind of invincible ever since he entered this world. All the opponents he faced so far was way too weak for him to go all out. He needed to at least grab hold on everything he could do perfectly so that he could plan his fight better in case he needed to fight something out of his reach. A silver ranked intermediate boss was a good sparring partner for him to utilize most of his skill without the fear of instantly killing his opponent.
"Well then, it's time to finish our business here."
Mays walked toward the white, spherical barrier in front of them before he knocked it twice.
"It's me Mays. Release the barrier now."
