"Tell me it wasn't your perfect plan that just went down the drain a few minutes ago." A voice echoed around the lab, prompting Asaph to pause his action of disinfecting his hands.

When he turned around, he saw Elfin leaning against one of the largest tables in the lab, examining his nails as if they were the most beautiful and he couldn't get enough of them.

"I'm mad, Elfin. I'm fucking pissed right now." Asaph revealed, grabbing a towel to wipe his face.

"You didn't answer my question. Was it your plan, the very one you wanted to impress me with, that was flopped today?" Elfin probed, still not taking his eyes off his fingers.

"Unfortunately, yes." Asaph let out a frustrated sigh.

"I thought you said it was foolproof." Elfin shifted his gaze from his initial point of focus, settling his disappointed eyes on Asaph.
