"What?"
I look at them with a small smile and say.
"I have been helping the Lordlake since I arrived in this country. If you want to make a good relationship with them, I can introduce you to them, and you can go from there."
They look at me in shock, and Lucretia is the first one to snap out of her shock and say.
"Gerrald. I don't know how you can keep doing this, but keep it up."
She then looks at Frey and says.
"Your Highness, we can use this. The only thing that is blocking us from getting them as our allies is because of their trust. With Gerrald coming with you, we can do it."
"Ah, before you say more, I will not come with the prince."
Lucretia looks at me in shock and says.
"Why?"
I look at her and say.
"I did not want them to join us because of me. Freyjadour is our leader, and as a leader, he needs to show them that he is to be trusted. I already made the foundation for him, and now it is his job to show the people of Lordlake that he is the right person to follow. I already reduced their hatred by a small bit, and it is his turn to remove that hatred completely."
The others look at me for a few seconds before Admiral Raja releases a sigh. She looks at me and the prince before saying.
"I hate to admit it, but I agree with Gerrald. He cannot come if you want to create a lasting friendship with the people of Lordlake. You need to show them that you care. It will be hard, but I know those people. They are hard people, but they are willing to forgive the people who are willing to show them kindness. Can you do it, Your Highness? Can you show them that the royal family still cares about them?"
Frey looks at Raja for a few seconds before nodding his head in determination.
"I'm willing to do it."
Lucretia nods and smiles.
"Good. When we arrive near Lordlake, you can go there and ask them for help."
She then looks at me and says.
"As for you, what do you want to do?"
"Me? I hear there is a crisis in Lunas."
When they hear that name, the prince leans forward and says,
"Is something happening in Lunas? Does Godwin attack Lunas? Does the leader of the Lunas Religion group survive? Can you tell me?"
Sialeeds puts her hand on Frey's shoulder and says.
"Frey. Let Gerrald talk. Take a deep breath and let him explain."
Frey takes a deep breath and looks at me with a worried expression. I know that he is worried about his other aunt but holy shit.
"Anyway, I want to go to Lunas because they are slowly running out of food. Last night, the local fisherman complained about their excess dried and salted fish. Not only that, I hear there is an abundance of wheat and rice from Lelcar."
Frey releases a sigh and says.
"I see. That is good. However, I wonder why they are running out of food. The capital should be sending them food every week."
I look at Frey and say.
"That is because Godwin wants to starve them enough for them to give up their neutrality."
Lucretia nods in agreement and says.
"I see. That makes sense. They cannot attack Lunas, but they can starve them by giving up their neutrality for food. If Lunas supported Godwin, the other nobles would see it as our religion accepting the new regime."
"Then we need to help them!"
Frey shouts in concern, but Lucretia shakes her head and says.
"We cannot do that, Your Highness. We did not have enough soldiers to attack the Godwin around Lunas, and we could not defend against the reinforcement from the capital if we attacked Lunas. There is also the problem of the revolving bridge that blocks our force from going to Lunas from the ground or from water."
Frey can only put his head on the table in defeat. Sialeeds and Lyon put their hands on Frey, trying to cheer him up.
"I can offer a solution for this problem."
Frey looks at me with a glimmer of hope.
"While we cannot help Lunas directly, we can help them indirectly. I will make sure Godwin's strategy will not work by feeding them. As for the revolving bridge, I know someone who can make the bridge cannot be used by Godwin."
Lucretia looks at me and says. She thinks of something for half a minute before sighing and saying.
"We will leave this problem to you, Gerrald. I'm sorry for asking too much of your help."
I wave my hand and say.
"Don't think too much of it. I'm happy to help. I already promised, aren't I?"
"Thank you. Truly"
I smile at her and look at Raja.
"Anyway, Admiral Raja. I have a question."
"Hmmm? Ask away."
"How long until Raftfleet is ready to anchor, and I can use one of the boats?"
"Hmmm, we should be arriving in three hours from now. The sky is clear, and the wind is on our side. We will arrive in three hours, maybe less."
"Three hours, huh?"
"Yes. Why do you ask?"
"To complete my mission, I need the help of Raftfleet. I need the quickest boat you have to get me to Lelcar and to Estrise City."
"Lelcar for the wheat and rice, huh? Why Estrise?"
"That is where the creator of Revolving Bridge lives."
"I see. I will lend you one of our fastest boats."
Raja looks at Kisara and says.
"Can you call your husband? I need him to take Gerrald on his quest."
"Of course, Admiral. I will call him to prepare once we arrive at our next destination."
"Good."
Raja claps her hand and says.
"With this, the meeting is done. Let's have some breakfast. I'm starving."
