As everyone was discussing whether to call the police, a clamorous rush of footsteps, growing louder as they approached, swiftly appeared at the entrance of the emergency department!
The emergency department was located on the first floor of the outpatient building, with its own separate entrance, naturally meant to facilitate the timely and rapid admission of emergency patients for treatment.
Generally speaking, the emergency department is the most chaotic place in a hospital. Often when a patient is brought in with an illness, it is not long before a crowd of family members arrive, creating commotion within the emergency department. Such scenes are commonplace, and everyone has grown accustomed to them.
But today was clearly different from any other day.
The owners of these anxious and mixed footsteps were the parents of these twenty-three children!
