Rosalie felt weak in her knees and lost her balance. Matteo was quick to catch her.

Matteo checked the time; it was 7:17 pm. "Let's take a taxi to your house. It'll be faster that way."

"No, I shouldn't burden you more."

"You're not a burden, and I don't pity you," he reiterated, seeing that she was now sober. "You look just as beautiful with your hair up, and the scar isn't as visible as you think. You sing beautifully too."
