章節 3: Am I trapped
Cyril's POV
I didn't know what came over me, I had to deny her to save my friends and reputation, I couldn't let my hard earned sweat be put to waste, I felt bad denying Yvonne and I could fully recollect how disappointed she looked, her voice cracked as tears strolled down her cheek "Cyril, why did you do this", continued to echo in my ear, I felt bad for her and hated myself for betraying her. I boosted her self esteem and at the same time destroyed it "how cruel", I thought. How could I ever forgive myself for what I had done, how could I possibly choose my friends over her but she hadn't given me the space, I was at fault, I deceived her by telling lies to her saying I also had no friends, she felt they were just hanging at my side and came, I'm pretty sure if it weren't that I lied, she would have stayed off limit. I couldn't stand how badly they treated her but had to pretend I was happy, I can fully recollect the tag"Cyril's acclaimed girlfriend", how bitter it felt, I loved her but didn't know how to proof it, I followed her after the incident had happened and found her lying unconscious, I had to put on a disguise and take her home as I couldn't stand the innocents woman look with my face, I felt sorry and had to watch her mum thank seriously and blame herself, she was just as pretty as Yvonne that I couldn't stand her face for long and had to go.
I cursed myself all I could and wished I could take back the hands of time, bit if I could what would I do?, Would I change it or leave it?, I couldn't go back to being that dull foolish bullied by all boy, how irritating and painful it felt saying it let alone being it. Those days flashed in my head like it happened the previous day, I was dragged from one bully to another and almost committed suicide but instead of their compassion led neglect. I was disgraced and suspended for a month, my mum was displeased by my behavior and the society was a no to me, I changed my family's reputation from good to bad but now I finally twisted the hand of time and had my life, our reputation was back though I was a bully in school and my confidence grew, I became feared by all and even ruled my group, I was commonly known as the head and single, which meant feared by all and single with no aim of relationship, I just didn't know but I kinda disliked girls, mostly the sticky ones, I was most adored by all and only the jealous ones hated me, speaking of my tail wouldn't end in a day. I ignored my thoughts and faced reality. I love Yvonne wholeheartedly and I didn't know for sure if I could ever fall in love again, as what I said was true, she was truly unique for being able to bring me into falling in love with her. How gravelly I had made a mistake. A knock came on my door interrupting me.... "Who's there", I asked, opening the door "oh my gosh it's her, Diana.
Diana's pov
I had finally arrived at Cyril's hostel after a long walk from mine I went to his room and knocked continuously till he finally answered, I hugged him tightly and pecked him on his forehead gently "hhmn Cyril, it's been long we talked, isn't it", I said grabbing a drink and chips from his freezer, sitting on his bed. He said nothing and I continued " oh I see you're depressed cause of your girlfriend", I said chuckling and continuing, "you're surprised I know aren't you?, Well I was spying on you all along", I replied. He looked at me in bewildement and in a confused state. "Oh don't take me as a dummy", I made clear. "Oh, so what'd you think you'll do about that, it's none of your business!", He screamed in anger making me laugh loudly "well what'd you think that'll change my mind or have you suddenly put some charms in your mouth 'fool', I shouted and laughed,"well I recorded every of your damn conversation with her and if you don't want your reputation blutted, you had better play along and tell everyone I'm your girlfriend, lucky me I've been dying to be with you", I said moving close to him"." Are you adhering or should I tell the whole school of you and Yvonne's relationship....hmmmn, I'm wondering what they'll feel finding out you lied to them,"I ended, smirking", "I don't care",he said firmly."oh I see you think I'm giving empty threats right?", I said unlocking my phone and showing a clip of his video with Yvonne."ok fine Diana what'd you really want",he said with great fury....I laughed, and replied, dressing his hair "oh that's so easy darling,you should know the answer by now..well it's simple just act like we're in a relationship,no I mean announce to the school that we're dating,yes that's it, and to confirm that,kiss me in front of the whole school", I chuckled....
"Why Diana why!!!,he questioned brutally", "well I'm not to blame in this life you just have to strive for what you want and that's what I'm doing simple"...I explained carrying my bag heading for the door."I'll be looking forward to seeing you in action....",I said slamming the door behind me.
Yvonne's POV
After weeks of trying to get on my feet,I finally summoned courage to resume back to school,I decided to confront cyril for his previous actions as I couldn't believe he'd do that to me..."how could he?, could he have been in a bad mood?, what could have possibly gone wrong?,was I being too clingy?,or maybe I should have waited for him to come meet me....", Thoughts Like this kept flowing my mind.."Yes I'll go confront him",I came to a conclusion...
Soon I was done bathing, I wore a black crop with a written word 'blessed' which was painted white,matched with a black high waist trouser just like the tops material and a white Snickers,I put on a silver necklace and packed my hair to how short I could pack it, I applied a little powder and used my pink mascara....I applied my lip bam, carrying a black cross bag and headed to the sitting room for breakfast, my mum was out with Lucy to get some accessories, Lucy had already set the table before she left.I ate, grabbed my cup of warm milk and left jamming the door very hard..'oh my that was aggressive', I said to myself..I entered the back seat and left......
The sun was shining very brightly on the school field, it was time for sports I decided I'll confront cyeil here, I didn't care what anyone said. We all sat to watch our school footballers whom were confronting the achiever's college, our college footballers had been training greatly for this day which had finally arrived."the highly anticipated football challenge".
I sat watching Cyril from far, cheering as loud as possible, luckily he was part of those that were picked for the match I was overwhelmed with joy when I sighted him and decide I'll root for him with my last voice if possible...
Finally the football match had come to an end, Cyril looked very exhausted and happy at the same time,tough it was a draw despite the penalty played...what a funny fate, at least everyone was happy, I saw Cyril jumping and running with a wild smile on his face,tears dropped from my eye as I didn't expect him to be this happy, he had successful scored two our of the three goals their team scored, of course anyone who achieved this couldn't have been less happier. I stood up heading for the field,I could see different people with their lovers, friends, and siblings.
I ran to Cyril and hugged him tightly screaming his name,"Cyril,yes Cyril, just tell me it's a mistake,tell me you're sorry and didn't mean to hurt me,tell me you were crazy and that you're ready to make amendments,I'm ready to forgive you, yes I know you're sorry, just say..",I released myself a little and looked directly into his eyes "Cyril say something, common Cyril....I... before I completed my statement I was interrupted by a female voice who came rushing at me, dragging me forcefully away from Cyril"," and who are you to say that", She thundered, staring at Cyril holding his face "Cyril who is this?", She questioned, getting no reply,she asked again, before she could complete her statement Cyril gave her a deep kiss shutting her up, I fell on the floor dumbfounded, she returned the kiss and before I realized the whole school was starring...
