Inside the bathroom, Delilah stood in front of the mirror with her eyes closed as she breathe in and out to calm herself.

She knew she shouldn't have hit him. It was wrong. It was never okay to be violent whether as a male or female, but she had lost it for a moment and had wanted him to feel a bit of the pain howbeit physical, that his stupid test had caused her.

Taking a deep breath she opened her eyes. Why had she reacted so strongly? Shouldn't she have been happy to be rid of him? Why had the thought of not seeing him again or having him under her roof caused her to panic?

Was she really beginning to let him into her heart? Had he broken through the defenses around her heart and claimed it so easily as he had done so effortlessly with her body?
