Dr. Bill paused for a moment, as if he could sense Ren Jidian's realization.

Then, he continued. 

"An Aeon is made up of two balancing forces, similar to the ideas of Yin and Yang. The greatest example of an Aeon being Jesus the Son of Man, and Sophia the Mother of Wisdom."

Ren Jidian frowned. "Jesus doesn't have any wife."

"Sophia is more like a concept than a person. She is the embodiment of wisdom itself. Which Jesus had sought, and claimed, and spread into the world." Dr. Bill explained. 

"Then the Aeon is just one person that seeks an immaterial concept or personification then?" Ren Jidian said. 

Dr. Bill chuckled. "Monad is the personification of unity, of One Love. Yaldabaoth is the personification of Creation and Destruction itself. Are they immaterial?"

He was right. Ren Jidian realized it now. Sophia is….

"Both material and immaterial. She is a person as well as an essence."
