What am I forgetting?

Wait, Dave is waiting for me outside! Is that supposed to be a bird sound? Oh God, the whole house is going to wake up. 

I sneak to the door and try not to make any sounds that will draw attention to the study. 

I lean in, waiting for whoever it is to pass by. Hopefully, it's not Nikon. He might stop by the study. 

Then I hear someone talking to Dave and I feel slightly relaxed but not all that much. 

" What are you doing here? " Fernando asks Dave.
