After checking the internet and making an online booking at one of the hotel's spas on the west side of the city, Gu Xin Ye walked over to the bus station and hopped on the transit bus that will make its stop at the west part of the town.

The moment Gu Xin Ye stepped out of the bus, she immediately understood the reason Mrs. Li had advised her not to step her feet around this part of the city. Everywhere she goes, there were luxurious hotels, resorts, and clubs.

Through her conversation with a few locals, Gu Xin Ye then found out that there was an area with private villas.

At this time, Gu Xin Ye suddenly wished that she was not so reckless and had made her research about this town before she decided to come over. Then perhaps, she would be staying in a luxury hotel instead of Mrs. Li's B&B. Every day, she would have the chance to hang around the beach and enjoyed the pretty view.

"Forget it." Gu Xin Ye heaved a sigh and shook her head to dismissed those thoughts.

If only she had stayed at a place other than Mrs. Li's B&B, then how will she have the chance to work at Qin Zhan's noodle stall?

At this time, the most important thing was to find out the reason Qin Zhan wanted to quit as one of the top pastry chefs in the country and chose to work in a small noodle stall. Once she found out the reason, she was going to convince him to come and work for GDB.

Gu Xin Ye entered one of the hotels around the area and went straight to the spa. After she gave out her name, the attendant brought her inside where she was given a full body massage.

After spending more than four hours inside the spa, Gu Xin Ye stepped out of the establishment feeling as if she was reborn again. Her skin was rejuvenated and her body felt refresh. The sore muscle she had after working with pots and pans in Qin Zhan's noodle stall was no longer there.

Gu Xin Ye glanced at the time and noted that the sky will turn dark soon. After considering her plan for a moment, Gu Xin Ye decided to have her dinner at one of the expensive-looking restaurants she saw earlier before she heads back to the B&B.

Fortunately, the hotel and resort area was very close to the F&B establishments. This part of the town was planned for tourism and almost everything was within walking distance.

Gu Xin Ye was walking past a luxurious hotel when she saw a familiar figure.

Her body stiffened and Gu Xin Ye quickly hid behind the ornamental plant at the hotel's entrance. As soon as she realized what she was doing, Gu Xin Ye scolded herself.

Why did she have to hide when she saw Qin Zhan?

Although that man could be quite scary, she shouldn't show that she was afraid of him, right?

As the thought came over her mind, Gu Xin Ye decided to come out of her hiding place, move on, and mind her own business. However, once she saw that Qin Zhan had turned his head in her direction, Gu Xin Ye quickly went back to her hiding place.

If Qin Zhan noticed her and saw that she was hiding behind some ornamental plant, wouldn't he be suspicious of her?

A cursing word escaped her lips as she looked at the situation she was in.

All she wanted to do was to head over to the restaurant to eat. Why did she have to run into Qin Zhan at this place?

Gu Xin Ye took a deep breath and peeked at the situation ahead.

The plan was to walk away once she saw that Qin Zhan was not looking over in her direction.

However, once she saw the person who stood next to Qin Zhan, Gu Xin Ye's mind was unable to work properly again.

At this time, Qin Zhan was with his so-called cousin, who she still had no idea who that was. The two men had just come out of the hotel building and the way they stood closer to each other was enough to make her thoughts go wild.

Just then, the cousin leaned forward to Qin Zhan. From her position, that pose was as if the cousin was kissing Qin Zhan on his cheek.

A gasp escaped her once an idea came to her mind.

Could it be that the reason Qin Zhan decided to quit working as a pastry chef at The Orchid was because of this cousin? What if this man was not Qin Zhan's cousin, and instead his lover? Could it be that Qin Zhan was in a forbidden relationship?

Various thoughts went through her head and Gu Xin Ye knew that she was going to go crazy soon if she did not find out the answer soon.

She really needed to rush her friend, Shen Yi Nian with her investigation towards Qin Zhan's cousin. Perhaps, only then will she find a lot more clues behind the story of Qin Zhan's sudden withdrawal as a pastry chef.

Swiftly, Gu Xin Ye took out her phone from her bag and started to type a long message to her friend.

She could almost picture the look on Shen Yi Nian's face once she read the gossip that she stumbled into!

Shen Yi Nian was a reporter and lived for gossips and hot stories like this. That girl would be excited!

Taking a few deep breaths to calm down, Gu Xin Ye stretched her head to peek at the hotel's entrance again. A breath of relief escaped her once she noticed that both Qin Zhan and his cousin were no longer around.

Fortunately, the two did not hang around the place for a long time.

Gu Xin Ye laughed to herself as she decided to walk away. Seconds later, her steps halted again. Gu Xin Ye stared at her shoes, and then shifted her gaze towards the black shoes in front of her.

Someone was standing in front of her and blocking her path.

Slowly, she raised her head and saw the owner of the shoes.

A gasp escaped her when Gu Xin Ye realized that the person in front of her was none other than Qin Zhan.

"Miss Gu Xin Ye," Qin Zhan called. His lips stretched up into a dangerous smile. "It is a surprise to see you here."
