章節 3: Eating the MC
As the shrimp was incapacitated by my trap I moved into action, I use my new evolution launch myself into the cloud. When I felt my face connect with something I extended my mandibles as they pierced through the shrimp's armor and into its flesh. Pulling out I moved away as the shrimp writhed in pain, swimming away the fight became a game of cat and mouse I would dash in and out chipping away at its body as it tried to hit me.
Every time it would punch with its claws I would feel a flash of heat and a loud boom would echo out.
I need to end this quickly not rushing in immediately I swam around the shrimp staying out of reach, as I waited for an opening as started to swallow water I needed to finish the fight with one crippling strike. Swimming behind the shrimp I waited as it started to turn around before I released the water through my gills shooting me through the water like a bullet.
Extending my mandibles body bore into the shrimps head but a wave of pain almost made me blackout. While I was able to land a fatal blow the shrimp it had destroyed one side of my face and three of my legs, pushing through the pain I collapsed to the floor and dragged me and the corpses through the coral inside the floor wasn't a flat plain but formed a cone that sloped downwards.
There was more than enough room for me so dragging the corpse to the bottom of the pit with me I stopped moving as I watched my purple blood float into the air. I needed to eat it took a minute but eventually, I was able to find a part where the shrimp's flesh was exposed. Mechanically I opened and closed my mandibles eating as much of the tender meat that I could fit in my ruined mouth.
Slowly the bleeding stopped as my blood clotted, collapsing one more time I went to sleep, for the next two days I was too weak to move much. Every day I would eat more and more of the shrimp until one day nothing was left, once again my body was taxed as I fell asleep.
The next day I was freed from the sharp pain that was present in my body I also felt a newfound strength in my body. My front arms had been replaced by giant clubs that were horizontal to the ground punching forward the water rippled away from my strike grinning I felt my carapace had become much stronger as it had become more flexible and aerodynamic.
Swimming out of my new home I grinned as I searched the waters for food. Each fish I deemed good enough for me was quickly killed with a single punch, even clams and crabs weren't safe from me as my claws shattered their shells.

For the next five months, I gorged myself on everything the same size or smaller than me, I had grown another two feet and I had to create a new home for myself. I found a large rock easily twelve feet long and eleven feet wide, for the entire day I used the rock as a punching bag as I slowly carved out a hole big enough to fit me.
Another five months passed and my prey changed again, most day time creatures were two small for me so I became a nocturnal hunter, I soon found myself battling sharks and enjoying their sweet flesh.
And in a couple of months even they stopped being a challenge at this point, I was seriously considering leaving the reefs I had lived in for so long. I need something to challenge me something that could stand toe to toe with me until I devoured them too. On one day I lay dormant in my cave as of now my appearance had changed I no longer resembled an ant. I was a five-foot-long fish covered in a hard pitch black carapace I had a mouth filled to the brim with razor-sharp teeth, I looked like a heavily armored shark but my forehead came to a blunt horn.
The sand was pushed away from my body as I sucked in water to get oxygen from my gills, there was no point in hunting most of my prey had become bland and nothing excited me anymore. The reason why I hunted before was that I need to feed, but the sharks were full of fat so I could survive a week off of one of them.
My brooding was interrupted when I sensed something entered my domain, I had gained the trait electroreception so I could sense anything that had a charge. Out of nowhere, a human had suddenly appeared in the water I felt my bloodlust start to act up it had been so long I wondered what it would taste like.

Floundering in the water I gasped for air, I knew I shouldn't have made that remark about the goddess having no boobs. Treading water I spotted a piece of driftwood, cheering I swam over the log and threw my arms over the lifesaver. I will admit this wasn't optimal but maybe my system will help me, just as the thought came into my mind a robotic voice started to talk in my head.

I held my breath as I waited for the two minutes to pass when the water in front of me exploded and I saw a shark with pitch-black armor its mouth opened wide ready to eat me.

Closing my jaws around the humans head I reviled in the taste of his blood, wanting more I went into a frenzy. The water went still after a minute as nothing was left of the human, swimming back to my cave I thought back to a minute ago of my great meal yet. The best thing was it wasn't the taste that tempted me but the rush of energy that entered my body, I could feel I was on the cusp of evolution but like my very first one instead of falling asleep, an itching sensation covered my body.
By the time I was back to my cave I felt a burning sensation from invisible flames, and I knew there was nothing I could do to stop the pain.
