Glancing back at the huge hospital, her eyes welled, she tried to control it but the tears kept rushing out uncontrollably, the persistency of the lingering sadness isn't a bit.
A tear escaped her eye, she stood in dismay not understanding the turn of things, she unfold the paper again. why must it be now?
Streaming tears fell on it she had reread this paper numerously but she just couldn't bring herself to come in terms with the content.
She wished to woke up from this heart wrenching and horrible nightmare. She was convinced that this is no dream, the pain in her chest is excruciating.
What had she done to deserve this, was it because she refused to slept with her psychotic boss, a shameless pot bellied man who has kids,
This face, If she had knew maybe she would've allowed her to ruined it at least it wouldn't be responsible for this, what good has it ever caused her anyway but pain!
As the director of the hospital, he as well has the right to hired and fired, She folded the wet paper and put it inside her handbag.
.
After conclusion. She went directly to the nearest subway, she was right on time, she entered into the train and sat, her inside was in turmoil and despairing thoughts were sneaking their way into her troubled mind, her reddened eyes signify this sadness and despondency,
Taking taxi would eased her alot of stress but will cost more.
After browsing for job online, she had submitted her qualifications and application, she was finally able to secure a job in an hospital as a nurse, the monthly payment isn't a great deal, some inconsequential amount but the little could still feed her and her brother, as well paid his medical bills.
Her monthly payment was mostly spent on her brother illness, her brother who was revealed to have a lung cancer after his sudden illness and has been living on drugs since then.
About her ? well it was a typical common story. Her parents passed away after her father was framed at work, he became a drunk, one night after getting boozed he drove himself to death.
His death affected her mother alot that she later died of depression.
She was left to fend for herself and her little brother whose health kept deteriorating, she lacked the money for surgery so she went for a temporary solution.
After her parents death, the despicable lessor of the apartment threw them out, she could only settled for a shabby apartment in a filthy street.
Indistinct chatter inside the pulled her out of her thoughts.
"I heard he won quite alot"
"Yes he did, his luck, he definitely was a koi" said a thin man with yellow skin, obviously was suffering from malnutrition
She listened attentively to the people talking in the train,
A woman who looked coquettish sighed dreamily and voiced out "I wish i were with him"
Inside the train quieted down, gazes were directed at her, the lady who seemed offended blurted "Who wouldn't, why staring as if I said something bad"
Most averted their gazes, while the chatter continues.
The train had neared her stop, she alighted from the train, squeezed the paper and dumped it in a garbage, couldn't risk Brian seeing this.
She walked all the way into the dirty street, the environment isn't healthful due to it's muddy appearance, dirt's like soda plastic and more littered around.
The street could be referred to as dirty, let's not talk about the situation faced when it rains, who was to be blame? wasn't it a street at the suburb of the city occupied by workers who came to labour in the city.
Jennie carefully wiped her teary eyes with her handkerchief.
After certainty that she looked less miserable she wend her way towards her apartment.
Inside a diminished old apartment was a little boy who looked seven years of age. Blond hair and blue eyed.
His cute chubby face was filled with worries, he stood and walked towards the door every minute as if in anticipation for something,
His small fingers clutched the wooden door knob the dozens time, he twisted it and the door was pushed opened but it was soon closed after the boy peeped out.
Disappointment was visible on his face, his face squeezed for a while before running towards his room.
He picked out an handkerchief, covered his mouth and coughed out blood, after wiping his mouth clean. He opened his wardrobe and put the bloody handkerchief inside a wooden box.
One could noticed he looked uncomfortable, slight pains visible on his face, he took out a pill from his pill reminder and swallowed it.
After the awaited presence is yet to arrive, he took out the wooden box from his wardrobe, and the gasoline, After igniting the bunches of blood stained handkerchief, he waited till it's completely incinerated before going back inside
Entering into the apartment, Jennie threw a brief glance around, when she noticed nothing out of place, she hurried into her brother's room,
The room is unexpectedly like other teens room, full of toys and clowns.
Medical toys could be seen hanging around the room, her little brother is fond of medical materials instead of those barbie dolls.
The seven years old boy was sleeping peacefully on his bed unaware of the presence in his room,
'His sitter must have left' she thought
Pondering on how she will be able to pay his medical bills and his sitter after returning to being jobless.
Despite paying few Yuan for the apartment, she still owed the lessor quite alot. She sighed exasperatedly, she felt bittered, life is definitely unfair, why won't it changed, no matter how hard she tried nothing really changed except for the situation which kept worsening.
After rummaging through the cupboards, she finally found few packs of noodles, Jennie boiled some water to make instant noodles, after eating she dressed as a boy, seeing her flat chest one could mistook her for a boy but the delicate, beautiful and long hair would exposed her her in a blink.
Disguising isn't made for her, she loosen the piece of cloth wrapped firmly around her chest, she exhale, relieved. and sat on a chair in her room.
The yellow painting in the room had peeled with age, nothing really great was inside the room than her reading desk, old computer used by her dad before he died, a worn out wardrobe full of outdated clothes.
Despite working at the hospital before she was fired, she spent her all on her brother illness, the work is much more than the pay, wearing herself out for a month only to get paid little amount because her position as a nurse in the hospital isn't firm.
She only wanted to tried her luck, she overheard people in the train discussing about a man who won quite alot at a casino.
She wanted to give it a trial maybe luck could be by her side, maybe she could earn and pay for her brother surgery. But as it is..
She slumped on the bed which let out a creak, despite her small frame and less weight, definitely the bed won't be lasting any longer.
