Matthew's POV:

It was midnight. I stood on the deserted highway road. Znakomstvo instructed me to wait for him at this location. So I followed everything that he said.

The captives were still in the minivan, and I didn't release them from their restraints. I don't want something terrible to happen now. Sophie's life depends on it, and I should do everything Znakomstvo tells me to do without a second thought. 

This is how Hannah instructed me. I don't know how I will ever repay her. If not for her, then I probably wouldn't even be here at this spot. She even fought with her own husband and took my side! For her sake, I am not going to expose Liam Eaton to my department. Let that poor soul live her life peacefully. 

Exactly at twelve-thirty, a black car arrived. This must be it! They must be the Znakomstvo's men. The car stopped in front of me, and a young man got out of it.
