In a bustling city, people were going about their daily lives when a mysterious figure caught everyone's attention - a short-haired man in strange clothing. He had a puzzled expression on his face as people passed by him, and he himself was shocked by the sudden change in his surroundings.
"What the heck is going on?" he thought. The only thing he could remember was falling asleep in his bed after finishing a trashy cultivation novel called "I Shall Rule the Heavens: The Birth of the Strongest Cultivation in History" (a pretty lame name, he admitted).
Upon waking up, he found himself in a strange and unfamiliar place, surrounded by people with unusual fashion senses. Nothing looked familiar to him, yet he felt a strange sense of recognition with the place.
It was a world of swords and martial arts, a place where a trashy hero was born, destined to bring glory to the city. The Jade Valley, a place where legends were made and battles were fought...
Confused, he ran his hands through his hair, trying to make sense of what was happening.
"I shall rule the heavens, the birth of the strongest cultivation in history," was a cultivation novel that he had been forced to read by losing a bet with his friend. The friend had picked out the trashiest novel possible just to annoy him, knowing full well that he disliked that genre.
The story was about a protagonist climbing to the top of the world, seeking revenge on those who had destroyed his clan and rebuilding his family's honor. It was full of cringe-worthy moments and face-slappings that made him cringe every time he read it.
If he had known that something like this would happen, he would have burned the novel the moment it landed in his hands. But there was no time for regrets now - if this was truly the world of the novel, then the city was in danger of being destroyed by rival clans.
He needed to find a safe place before that he needed to change his clothing to avoid unnecessary attention first.
He took a deep breath and set up his mind fast; he had already adapted to the situation and he knew that just a moment of hesitation could ruin everything.
He walked on the street to find a store that sells clothes and other kinds of stuff, to avoid the change in his clothes he took off his printed t-shirt.
Even now, people looked at him in a strange way but it's better than being captured by the clan members. He ignored the embarrassment and continued walking.
The story was set in a medieval time period, where most of the people wore old traditional clothing. The only difference was that rich people wore more luxurious clothes while the poor wore simpler clothes like robes or something like that.
Everything they were selling here came from the merchant city, a city with no clans or cultivators far from here - most of the members of the city were merchants.
In this world, there were a total of 12 big different cities including the Jade Valley. These 12 cities were ruled by different clans, with the members of the clans holding a high position in society.
If compared to the modern world, the clan members were more like a military force of the city, with the leaders of the clans acting as the government.
Despite their well-structured society, it wasn't a peaceful one, as internal and external conflicts made it difficult for common people to live peacefully.
In the novel, the Jade Valley was recorded as one of the best living conditions for civilians under the rulership of the Silver Moon clan elders and cultivators.
Each clan had different rules and orders that had to be followed by everyone, and each clan had different cultivation methods and techniques that were traditionally passed down through generations.
This contradiction, diversity, and different beliefs caused hatred among the clans for centuries, but the first and strongest clan, the Celestial Dragon, united the clans and signed a peace treaty, ending the long war.
But everything was about to change with the sudden death of the Celestial Dragon ruler. Enemy clans would soon enter the Jade Valley with their strongest cultivators.
Before that happened, he had to find a way to get out from here. According to the novel, the only cultivator who survived was the protagonist himself.
He fled from there with the help of others and made a pledge to rebuild his clan and take revenge on the other clans.
The first entire arc was based on this topic.
"I have to get out of here as soon as possible," he thought.
There was no status window or any other cheats, the only advantage he had was the knowledge of important future events.
He thought, "I have to make good use of it."
After a long search, he finally found a clothes store. When he got near, the middle-aged shopkeeper looked at him in disgust.
"Hey, I am not selling you anything, get lost, you beggar."
"Are you really sure about that?"
"This beggar..." the middle-aged man jumped from the store to smack him in anger. When he moved back a little, he landed on the floor with a scream.
"Ah..."
He walked close to the shopkeeper who was lying on the floor and sat on his foot near him.
"Old man, you're still not selling me anything," he showed the golden ring on his fingers.
The old man's face suddenly changed as he saw the ring. He jumped from the floor and bowed down.
"I apologize for my rudeness. Please come inside, sir. When I saw you, I thought you were a beggar."
"It's okay, you really don't have to say it in detail."
"Thank you." He opened the shop door for him and welcomed him.
"Beggar, did I really look like one," he thought.
