Alastair stared flabbergasted at Eleanor, who at that moment looked nothing but a monster. He could not remove what he had seen from his mind. Her entire face had been deformed and he could see blood lines and flesh jutting out. Even her body was maimed. She looked nothing like he had seen before.

Alastair was still in disbelief. But that did not stop him from looking at his mate in concern. He had only touched her after Samantha's insistence. Moreover, he did not have healing powers as Samantha did. Even though he was stupefied, he was more apprehensive and examined the girl in his embrace carefully.

"Samantha, how do you feel?"

At first, Samantha did not understand the reason behind his concerned words and she squinted at him in confusion. It was only when he looked at her arms that the realisation dawned on her and she let out a sigh.
