Qi Yuze's handsome brows knitted together in confusion, "Then you had parents who didn't care about you?"

"I have very loving parents," replied Liu Xinyu truthfully. "I grew up in a warm and loving home."

"Then why did you seek their attention?" inquired Qi Yuze not being able to understand her. "If you were an only child, unless you had unkind parents, you would have their attention, right?"

"You don't understand," Liu Xinyu was exasperated. But since she had to explain it, she had to do it well. "Look, what is essential in a meal?"
