Even though Ma Xiulian had specifically asked Li Chunhua to wash the dishes, there were many dishes and utensils used by the large family of over ten people, so Zhou Zhaodi and Zhao Mei also had to help clean up the mess on the table.

Furthermore, even though there were a lot of dishes, they were easy to wash because they weren't very oily. A quick rinse with well water, and then dried and put into the cupboard was all it took.

When Zhao Mei had just picked up two bowls, Helian Qiao's eyelids twitched, and then she slowly opened her eyes, as clear as coloured glaze.

She needed to nurse as soon as she woke up.

So, Ma Xiulian said to Zhao Mei, "First daughter-in-law, stop cleaning, it's time to feed Guibao."

"Sure,"

Zhao Mei replied, and put the bowls back down, reaching out to hold her niece.

However, Ma Xiulian sidestepped, not letting her hold the baby, saying "Wash your hands first and wipe your chest as well."
