Ave gasped as she collided with the person's chest, their arms wrapping around her in a hug. It only took a moment before Ave snapped out of her daze when she heard the person whisper,

"If you're ignoring me because you're still mad at me my love, I'm sorry. Tell me what you want, and I'll give it to you. Anything," Caelan whispered in a desperate plea, unable to take her cold treatment any longer. He hadn't been able to sleep for two nights because he had been thinking about her and all the days they had sneaked out to have fun together. He hated that she now gave Lucian the looks she used to only give to him.

Even though the Empress had warned him to stay away from Selene until he was the Emperor, Caelan couldn't help it and had come to wait for her here this morning after learning she was in the main palace today. Not to mention yesterday he'd been worried when he'd heard she was sick.
