章節 39: Rewarding the hardworking secretary
"…" It was yet another normal morning in Vega household. The family members were quietly consuming the breakfast served on their plates which were freshly baked croissant along with some hot chocolate. Usually, they would all engage in some random discussion during, like how was Matthew and Vali's training going or how Azazel made another new discovery in his reserve on some sacred gear.
"Hm~ hm~" However, today was a little different both Azazel and Vali were silently observing Matthew who was humming while savoring his breakfast. He appeared to be in a oddly good mood today.
Another thing to note was that the breakfast which was made by Matthew himself, which was quite rare because ever since Kuroka had taken the role of cook of the household from Matthew, he only cooks when he is in a very good mood, or when he devises a devious scheme. Further reinforcing their doubt about him devising a new scheme which might even involve them.
(Something bad is definitely going on this kid's mind.)
(Just what is he planning, Should I run away to a mountain for some training with master?)
It was practically written all over the faces of both Azazel and Vali, just what was going on in their mind.
"Say Master you look pleased, did something good happen nya?" It was Kuroka who asked that question, which Vali and Azazel wanted to ask but couldn't.
"Hm? Oh yeah, something good really happened, you see, I sorted out the misunderstanding with Nyx." Matthew replied with the brightest smile ever, which momentarily shocked Azazel and Vali.
"Your smile tells me you did more than just resolving the misunderstanding, you little rascal, I am proud of you." As expected, the governor general was really sharp at matters like this.
"Ah well, I've got an appointment for today." Matthew got embarrassed again, causing and obviously, Vali was in disbelief. He couldn't believe it was his same demon of a brother who was acting like a shy maiden in love.
"Haha that calls for a celebration Kalawarna a drink, please make sure to bring me the best one we have at home." Azazel was glad that Matthew wasn't scheming something this time.
"Kalawarna?" Kalawarna who would usually respond quickly was standing there lost in thoughts. Only when she was called for the second time did she responded, as she quickly left the room to get the drinks.
"Oh, I see~" Azazel quickly understood what was happening, and a coy smile could be seen on his face.
"Huh see what?"
"Nothing~" Matthew was suspicious of his words, but he couldn't make him say what he meant and after finishing their food everyone went their way.
"Klawarna are the preparations for this Wednesday complete?"
"Yes Matthew sama the preparations are complete."
"What about the guests?"
"As you had wished, first we will be having a gathering of supernatural who we have good connections with. After that, the next day you will have to entertain the humans, there will be some established businessmen of Kyoto as well as some local politicians and subsequently, you'll have to host the after party for our shareholders."
"Man, the next week sure is going to be hectic."

(Something is wrong here.) Matthew had noticed that ever since this morning her behavior was a bit strange today, although she was not a woman of many words, Matthew felt something was wrong here for sure.
"Say Kalwarna are you not feeling well?"
"No Matthew sama."
(Something is wrong for sure.) Matthew wasn't a fool, but he never thought that a serious woman like her could also get jealous.
"Ah, I know!" Matthew suddenly exclaimed, startling Kalwarna.
"You have been constantly working hard for me, but I haven't been able to properly reward you at all, Kalwarna if you want anything Just say I will give it to you."
"…Matthew sama can I truly ask for anything?" Normally, Kalwarna would have refused by saying she is happy to be helpful to Matthew, however unexpectedly she had something she wanted today.
"Well as long as it isn't impossible to get I can get you anything you want even if it's expensive." Matthew was delighted by her response, he was grateful to Kalwarna and wanted to reward her properly this time.
"Then… May I have some of your personal time for myself." Kalwarna leaned forward a bit towards Matthew, her hands steepling and her beautiful eyes looking at Matthew as if pleading him. She looked like an adorable puppy asking for their owner to take them to a walk. Matthew finally understood what was happening, her strange behavior since morning was because she was jealous and even now, her acting all shy and 'Innocently Suggestive' approach, she was clearly trying to seduce Matthew.
And seeing how Matthew couldn't take his eyes of her. She knew his preferences very well.
Matthew came back to his senses he pulled her by hands towards him and replied with a coyish smile. "Are you perhaps asking me out for a date." Kalawarners hands were being held by Matthew and their bodies sticking close to each other their lips a few centimeters apart. Both of them refusing to break the eye contact. "Master I–" Kalwarna opened her mouth to say something but Matthew was faster.
"Then would allow me to have the pleasure of escorting such a lovely lady as yourself this evening."
"Yes." Kalwarna replied in a meek voice hearing those words from Matthew in such an adult like manner and seeing a cool beauty like Kalawarna acting all shy Both Kalawarna and Matthew were so lost in each other that they forgot everything around them and stayed in the same position until they were reminded of the time by an employee who had come to deliver some papers Matthew had asked for.

I apologise for not releasing chapters properly for a while but I am trying hopefully I will be able to give more tie to this book now.
