"Ugh, this is so boring." Ronald couldn't help but yawn and complain in his head as he laid lazily on the armchair staring at all of the martial artists and elites exchanging with each other beneath him.
Honestly, he would rather watch a snail race than be here at this point.
At least that would be slightly entertaining compared to watching these old farts exchanging their techniques and whatnot.
Thankfully, there was something he could do to kill time while he waited for his upcoming plot to begin.
And that was...
'Paying to win on mobile games.'
That's right, similar to the mobile games back on Earth, lots of the mobile games here in this world are heavily pay to win inducing as well.
And what better way to spend his wealth as one of the richest second generations currently out there than by paying to win in every mobile game he comes across by and completely dominating the game?
So Ronald pulled out his phone and got straight into playing pay to win mobile games while waiting for his upcoming plot to start.
But after 30 minutes had passed by, Ronald looked at the time on his watch and realized that the plot still hadn't started yet!
Like what the hell?
If he remembered correctly, Iris, one of the strongest killers from overseas that was disguised as a maid in the pavilion should've had come into contact with him in the VIP lounge a while ago.
Then under Ye Fan's careful calculations, Iris would serve him wine.
However, the wine would be spiked with something that would make the wine taste very very bad.
This would then make Ronald spit out the wine all over Iris's face and reprimand her severely while acting like a huge asshole.
Ye Fan will 'coincidentally' then arrive at the pavilion amidst Ronald's yelling and scold Ronald for bullying a pavilion maid.
Ronald would then get even more upset as the guy who had supposedly humiliated him back at the trade show had shown up again, and Ronald started demanding the pavilion to get Ye Fan out of here and punish Iris accordingly.
Of course, the pavilion denied both of his requests, causing Ronald to then insult and threaten the entire pavilion itself and offend the person who owned and had also established the pavilion, Li Wanruo.
But surprisingly enough, he wouldn't be kicked out of the pavilion until he started making more trouble later on.
And then of course afterwards Li Wanruo secretly gave Ronald a severe beating and sent him home.
But where is she right now?
Ronald quickly put down his phone and scanned around the venue until he finally saw Iris standing on the side of the pavilion slightly away from where the rest of the martial artists and elites were.
But why?
Why was she just standing there like an actual staff of this pavilion instead of plotting against him?
Did Ye Fan perhaps not tell her to plot against him or something?
But that couldn't be the case when Iris disguised as a maid over here.
Besides, he was pretty sure that he just saw Iris glancing at him when he made eye contact with her.
Regardless, Ronald couldn't allow this plot to majorly fuck up as it did last night.
With that in mind, Ronald exited out of the VIP lounge and made his way to the main pavilion area.
He also naturally attracted many attentions along the way, most speculating that he was about to do something stupid given his character, but he paid no mind to them.
Ronald eventually stopped at a corner and secretly peaked at the inner courtyard, where Iris was.
From there, he could see Iris looking around the courtyard and at the glass panels of the VIP lounge, seemingly looking for something.
What was extremely odd though, was that her face appeared to have a sense of urgency to it, a face that Iris would rarely ever make both in his previous life and back when he was reading the novel on earth considering that she had an extremely cold and deadly look on her face all the time.
But he didn't think much about it, and started walking to Iris.
Iris also noticed him and she couldn't help but subtly bite her lips.
Of course, she was extremely happy to see him again, and she wanted to go straight to him and be with him again.
But she was afraid.
Afraid to come face to face with him again.
After all, she had harmed him countless times in his previous life.
That was why Iris simply only looked at Ronald from afar, and didn't even dare to get close to the VIP lounge even when Ye Fan texted to her to get close to Ronald and implement the plan.
Of course, she also knew that she'd end up by Ronald's side anyways since Ye Fan had sent her over to the Kuangge's residence in order to monitor and plot against him even more after today in her previous life as he believed the Kuangge family had something to do with the downfall of his family, but still, her heart wasn't ready.
Thankfully, she was still considered a stranger to Ronald currently, and so she had at least one more day to calm down her heart before being with him.
As Ronald walked across Iris however, he paused in his tracks and turned to Iris with a somewhat annoyed face.
"Ah, um, h-how may I be of service?" Iris wasn't expecting for Ronald to even glance at her direction and so she stumbled with her words.
Sure, she knew that she was extremely beautiful, and there was no denying that, but she also knew that Ronald only had Luna in his heart at the moment.
Ronald didn't immediately reply back but stared at Iris silently for a couple of more seconds.
Then finally, he opened his mouth and started speaking.
"Uh, what the hell? Does this pavilion hire just about anyone to become a staff nowadays?"
'Phew, even though that took a while, this should bring the plot back on the right track.'
