They're in the middle of the forest, taking their path to their headquarters. Inside the dark forest; the noises that can be heard are the sound of the owl, insects, and every step that they take.
"He must be thankful that--------Hermes!" Artemis screamed when she witnessed the sight of Haru punching the guy that they called by the name Hermes. His punch is enough to make Hermes dizzy but the guy managed to stand up.
"Don't come close," Hermes said while glaring at the male possessed with ocean eyes that gleamed as Haru looked at him in an intimidating way. "You're too aggressive for a 16-year-old boy." Hermes chuckled before he combed his hair backward. Artemis aimed his arm and three of her subordinates did the same too.
"Tell me your name and we will bring you to your sister." He added while trying to stand despite the feeling that he'll collapse anytime soon. Artemis released the arrow that almost tears in the air. Even the tiniest sound through the noise of the forest, Haru heard the arrow coming from behind and catch the arrow then use it as his weapon.
"Are you mute or what?" Hermes asked him again while glaring at the boy. "Haru Miyazaki," Haru answered while never averting his gaze away from the guy. Hermes started to get pissed before he massages his temple. "You're not him, who are you?"
Haru fiddled the arrow in his hand before he throws it back to Artemis. "Imōto o tsuremodosu. Ima." He said in a low demeanor.
"What?" Demeter asked Hera who was just standing beside her. "I don't know. I can't understand Japanese well."
"Great then," Artemis said drop-dead tone. "Hey, Japanese boy! Talk to our language!" Demeter said. Haru removed his bracelet and let it fall from the ground. Two of them noticed the sudden electrocuting reaction and leaves a smell of burning rubber. In their eyes, the boy is a threat who brings defiance if he wanted to. Who knows that there's a malevolent one behind the innocent facade.
"He's from there." Artemis murmurs and Hera nods, "Hiro didn't act like that and Haru didn't know how to fight like that." She added. They're now surrounding Haru who's wrapping his arms around Hermes who's bleeding now.
"Don't come near." Throughout the darkness, Hera and the others can visibly see the blood on his mouth.
"Geez. Does the devil come out through the gates of hell?" Nine asked her comrades who are surrounding the two. "No more questions, Nine," Artemis said. Although her stomach and head ached because of Haru, Nine stand up immediately and pointed her gun at the boy.
"We got distracted in a small time and we saw this," Hera confessed. A small smirk creeps on Haru's thin lips before he leaned into Hermes's ear. "Where's the girl from earlier?"
"At the headquarters of Excalibur." Hermes thought that Haru will let go of him but his arm tightened up, making the guy wince. His vision is almost divided into two as the arm around his neck prevents him to grasp for air.
"Do you want to know who am I?" Haru's emotionless and cold as stone eyes lowered at the four girls surrounding them now. "Bring me to the girl from earlier first and notify the headmistress about my arrival."
"Tell her that she got a visitor."
"Okay, what the hell is going on?" Trance murmured after she woke up in the middle of the white room with a pang of pain on her head and back. She almost stumbles on the floor when her gaze darted at her brother who's standing in front of the white wall and rushed at him.
"Are you okay?! Where are we?" She tugged his arm, making him face his sister who's in confusion.
"You don't know too? Why are you looking at the wall?" Haru motioned her to stay quiet and looked at the wall again. "They're watching." He whispered. Trance is about to ask him again but she chooses to shut her mouth. His dreadful and piercing stare never leaves the wall. Trance is guessing why he's glaring at the wall so she steals a glance from it too.
On the other side of the room, the wall formed the shape of the door before it opened and the four women went inside. One with a cast on her left arm and four wearing formal wear.
"Haru, can we ask what's the reason why you assaulted one of my comrades?" Hera asked him but Haru shoved Trance behind him while remaining emotionlessly looking at them.
"She got another arm, I guess a sole arm doesn't cost a lot." Harudeadpanned, making the masked girl look at him motionlessly. Artemis stepped forward, "We bring you to her and do what you wish, it's time for you to give us answers in exchange."
"If you're not going to answer my first question, now, why did you act hostile? Why do you have the same face as him?" Trance peeked at them and her eyes widened when she found out who was the one talking.
"Ms. Lionel." Hera smiled and shook her head at Trance however, that gentle demeanor got replaced when she turned and glared at Haru. "We know that Hiro is not your name. Hiro acts far from that, so why do you act like him?" Trance furrowed her brows at the female.
"Then take a guess."
"He's is not doing anything." Trance defends her brother but the red-haired lady walk towards them, making her alert. Trance looked at her with bravery held on her eyes; silently threatening the red-haired.
"We know, but that one is a threat." Trance shook her head and wrapped her hands around her brother's body to protect him when the red-haired points her pistol at Haru. "No, he's not!"
"Ms. Trance Miyazaki, please move aside." The hunter-looking girl named Artemis commanded her but Trance is being hard-headed and refused to do what they want.
"Why do you know my name?! Who the hell are all of you?!" Trance yelled at them.
"That's it I'm going back to the library," Artemis said, making Trance freeze. "Come on Hera, let Nine and Demeter handle that. I want to sleep at the library." Haru holds his sister's hand as she started to shake.
"N-No." Four of them looked at her in confusion. The boy did glare at them and lowered down to his sister's level to calm her down. "Listen to me, no one will hurt you. They can't hurt you." He whispers. Trance chatted and tell his brother's words to herself like what she always did to calm herself down. "Breath. They can't do that to you. I'm here."
"What's happening to her?" Artemis asked Hera. "Break down, seems like you say something that triggers her." Nine murmurs.
"Me? I didn't! I just that I'm going back to---" Haru throws the pocket knife that he secretly takes from Hermes when they fought. It doesn't hit Artemis but it trails to her jaw that leaves a scrape on her.
"What's your problem?!" She hissed when she wiped off the blood on her cheek. "I think that one is stopping you to say that 'L-word, Art. The fuck." Nine said as she eyed the siblings. Trance is calming down slowly while still hugging her brother.
"Are you okay now, Trance?" She nodded her head. Trance yelped when Haru lifted her like a child. "What do you want now?" Haru asked them with his cold tone.
"Tell us what's your intent is and we're going to release her," Hera said in full of authority. "Don't make me laugh. We both know that you'll never let this one out without harming her." Trance jumped from her brother's grasp and looked at them despite the puffiness in her eyes then held her brother's hand like a child.
"Headmistress decided that she'll take you as part of this organization when you tell us who you are and we're going to set her free." Haru is still nonchalant and emotionless despite the situation.
"He's not going to explain anything from you. My brother has never done anything wrong." Trance said in a low voice although her expression is stoic. "Trance would you quit insisting? Are you afraid of him that's why you're watching his back?" She shook her head and insisted that her brother is never done anything wrong.
"He is." Trance answered Hera and eyed her emotionless brother. "Come on, don't take this interrogation long," Artemis grunted. "I'm a criminal too, so what's the reason why you're going to set me free? I know my brother did murder almost half of their school's population but I did more than his." Trance said. "You don't need to interrogate him. It's just all self-defense, why do you keep on telling me that?"
"See? We don't have anything to deal with you. Your brother is not going to join this organization too." Her words make the four females standing in front of them stirred into different reactions. "You're going to lock both of us here? Fine by me, because we don't have anything to discuss here. I know my brothers, how can you say that to him?" Trance stared at them like she was offended by her ancestors. Artemis looked at her silently and Hera shook her head.
"You probably don't know, the boy broke Nine's arm and some of Hermes' rib."
"He got a name and he's Haru. My brother wouldn't act that way if you did something wrong." Trance cuts her off. Hera massaged her temple. "Alright, Haru almost kill Nine and Hermes that's why he needs to be interrogated."
"I told you, it's because you do wrong to him. He'll never hurt anyone if you didn't start it." Hera heaves a sigh before she motioned her comrades to leave the room. "We'll talk tomorrow." She said before she exits too. After confirming that they're out of sight, Trance let out a sigh of relief and leaned at the wall.
"They'll probably act like Sherlock and find no shit." She whispers. "Thankfully, Hiro told me when he taught me how to understand you that when there's a problem come over and you got into there. That's why I should tell cover you up. You're my brother." Haru rolled his eyes and grunted.
"You don't need to. I can protect myself. All I need is to get you out of here because the game will officially be starting soon."
"What game?"
"Throne of flames."
