"Oh! Seems like you already know each other." Yumi said while Trance is looking at the guy menacingly as if she wants to pounce him. The tiger growled at him, making the guy looked at Trance.
"Yes we already did, right Trance?" Trance didn't answer, instead, she's just glaring at him. The guy looked at Yumi with a lopsided smile plastered on his face and wrapped his arm on the old man's shoulder and the old man did the same to him too.
"We're classmates, ojichan." His words make the old man smile in delight. He eyed his granddaughter and probably notices her menacing look on the guy.
"What's with that look, Trance-chan?" She looked at her grandfather innocently and shook her head.
"Nothing." Trance retorted with a sweet smile on her grandfather but when her eyes landed on Felix, the smile fades away like how the wind blows and her eyes held no emotion like how they used before.
"Mr. Miyazaki, your granddaughter seems to hate me." Felix chuckled while looking at the girl who's walking beside the tiger.
"The owner of that tiger is probably sleeping at our home." He said while eyeing the giant white cat. It growls lowly, making him shook his head and faced the old man beside him.
"Who are they talking about?" Trance murmurs as she eyes the two males in front of her. She averted her attention to the tiger beside her and ruffled its silky fur. Felix steals a glance at her before he talks to her grandfather and the girl probably didn't notice it.
"Ojichan is your granddaughter." He paused and steal a glance at Trance again before he continues to say what's on his mind.
"Is she single?" Yumi stared at him for a while. No reactions, just staring plainly. Now, Yumi figured out what's the boy's agenda. He can't help but glare at the twisted boy.
"If she is?" Felix shook his head out of the blue and smile. He heaves a sigh and darted his gaze at Yumi.
"She's far from being taken. Well, I heard that someone is courting her. His name is Ice Gruger, right?" The old man nodded and leaned close to Felix.
"Thankfully Trance-Chan didn't give her 'yes' to him." He grimaced, making Felix smirked.
"Why you hate him?"
"It's not like that. I just don't want my granddaughter to get into relationships. It is hard for her too." Yumi said before he stopped walking and get inside the house all together with Felix and Trance.
Felix is left in the living room while Trance and her grandfather are in the kitchen to prepare food.
"Ojichan, why he's here?" Trance asked him to use their native language while helping him to make food for their visitor.
"To pay a visit, Trance-chan." Her grandfather replied before he put the teapot and teacups on the tray.
"Ojichan?" She asked sarcastically while preparing the dessert for them.
"Yes. You don't want him here?" Trance put down the bread knife and looked at her grandfather with an annoyed expression.
"I don't want to see him after what he has done to me back in the Philippines. He always messes up with me every day. He messes up with me as if his day is not complete without doing that." Trance respond. There's an annoyance in her tone but she didn't even raise her voice and makes her sounds calm.
Trance wants to tell her grandfather what the boy in the living room has all done to her back there.
"I know you have an issue on trusting someone, Trance-chan. But Felix is good---"
"Ojichan I know it's a sign of disrespect to cutting you off while talking but, I don't want to put trust in someone. I don't even fully trust Bryle or Khiel and I don't want to trust the guy too." Yumi heaves a sigh. He knows that it's hard for his granddaughter to put trust in someone and he can't blame her.
"I can't blame you, Trance-chan. But you see that, right? I even wrapped my arm on his shoulder." Yumi retorted. After what happened to his granddaughter in the past, she probably has trust issues.
"Okay then, I should be nice to him even I want to drag him out to leave his place." Yumi shook his head before he lifts the tray and went into their living room.
"You don't want to eat, Trance-chan?" He asked his granddaughter from the living room.
"I'm still full." Trance raised her voice for a little as she leaves the kitchen and went into the pond together with the white giant cat who's tailing her.
"Akemi is your name, huh? You must be a male." The tiger moaned and rubbed its head on Trance's leg. The girl giggled and took a seat on the bunk while her feet are in a pendulous state and her sandals almost kissed the water on the pond.
"It not that I hate that guy, I guess? I tried to distance myself to other people if they're not grandpa--" Trance facepalmed when she remembered what she has done on Felix's and other boys' first day of school.
"Dang. That's probably my fault, Akemi." She vents out a humorless laugh as she caresses the tiger's white and silky fur. Trance is talking to the tiger whose probably didn't understand her.
"I want to see grandma now but that's an invalid reason to leave grandpa." She said in full of regret. Her electric blue eyes darted at the fish on the pond who peacefully moves their beautiful tails as they're dancing in a magestic way under the water.
She's frustrated and her fear that caused by someone from the past never abide her. Trance wants to get rid of it and stand on her foot but she's afraid because that person is still alive and kicking, and the worst, free to roam around.
"No time to die. I'm taking baby steps to trust someone again aside from ojichan."
