The first that came rushing towards Lucian the moment he walked through the palace gates was Rosaline. She had tears in her eyes, and held onto him for more than ten minutes. Lucian didn't move, he merely stood still, his hands restrained despite being the prince. The king had ordered for him to be brought home, and it didn't matter if that was done in restraints or not.

"I was so worried, I thought I'd never see you again.." Rosaline cried onto Lucian's shoulders, her tears soaking into his shirt.

Lucian stood rigid as Rosaline clung to him, her sobs muffled against his shoulder. He could feel the wetness of her tears seeping through his shirt, but his hands remained bound, cold metal biting into his wrists.
