Meifen needed to have a private conversation with her son. Now was not the appropriate time to address and anything she wanted to say would have to wait. 

She let go of her son and looked at the guest who was staring at her ceiling in a haze. 

"Miss Lin.." she called out. 

Alix turned her head immediately, proving that she was not in any haze. "Call me Alix." 

Meifen didn't have time to care about what Alix wanted to be called. 

"En, Alix, we will have to talk some other time. Yuewei and I need time alone to talk." 

Alix understood of course. Mother and son had a lot to unpack right now. They both had a lot of heavy things to get off their chests. The honest conversation they needed to have didn't need an outside like her. 

She picked up her bag and stood up. But before leaving, she still needed to warn Meifen. 

"I understand. I also apologize for visiting you suddenly and opening this can of worms."
