章節 65: Filial piety

Recovering from my breakdown, I smiled.

Sitting next to mother I felt much better. With the food being placed, I took it upon myself to personally serve my mother, adding first; a selection from the sweet and sour wild boar, the rib and tail.

The eldest brother had hunted this beast, so I decided to show due consideration by placing some of the meat in a clean bowl and handed it to the maid by my side to pass to him.

From the opposite side; I looked at the eldest brother and smiled, then returned to my meal selecting some beans grown in the second family's first-born son's personal garden then serve him as well.

The beans were slightly salty, but not overly so.

The next were the other dishes each brother had helped somehow with its preparations by providing the raw ingredients, everyone I served in order until the all the food had been devoured.
