The next day, Jade had decided to do exactly what her Alpha mate had hinted at her to do. Well, not exactly did he hint at it, but that was what Jade had deduced from their conversation.

Dressed for the day, she descended the stairs and went into the kitchen to find Ann sorting out fresh vegetables from a box.

"Good morning, Ann." Jade gave her a beaming smile but that ended up startling the woman.

Ann dropped the vegetable in shock before picking it up and giving Jade a small bow. "Good morning, Luna. How may I help you?"

It did not slip past Jade that this time, Ann was not as bubbly and cheerful as she had been these past days.

Jade gave out an exhale as she looked around the kitchen before her eyes settled on the door that led to the kitchen garden.

She turned to look at Ann and asked, "Would you like to go out with me for a small stroll?"
