Raul's POV:

Watching the girl scream did nothing to abate my anger, rather it increased it the more. I felt like resurrecting Francis and punching him the more till he dies, then repeating the same process again and again. How dare he touch my mate?

And the girl? I didn't even know what to think of her.

She looked too young and was naked.

Quickly, I removed my thick coat and threw it to her, watching blankly as she wore the cloak around her small, but curvy frame, her hands shivering, tears kept falling from her eyes which sometimes darted to the place where Francis' head laid still, with eyes open. She didn't want to look at his body which was sprawled on the floor beside her, or at me.

Was she the one the Pack doctor had been protecting all this while? Had he known that she was my mate? That couldn't be it. The man's duty was to heal, and not to matchmake.
