The dingy town was long behind us when Zethu turned to me.

"Thank you."

Her words came with finality which told me she was ready to leave me.

I looked down at the rocky terrain that was way-way-way below us. "Unless you can fly, you can forget about jumping off." I had a feeling that Yugar (our flying mount) wouldn't listen to our commands. Part of me feared he would take us to a place that was not Capital but I chucked those worries for later.

Zethu looked down apprehensively. She was thinking about jumping. Was she suicidal?

"If you fall to your death, all this escape will be in vain."

Zethu glanced in the direction from where we came. "Jarsey will soon realize I'm missing." She touched her collar, and I knew what she was thinking about.

"Jarsey won't bother you ever again."

Zethu blinked at me. "How can you be so sure?"
