"Are you deaf and dense? My boyfriend said no!"

Morgana held her cheek as she felt the sting of pain on her face. Her eyes were glued on Ava who was staring right back at her with anger in her eyes. 

They had been friends for a long time but Morgana had never been slapped this hard before, even when they had their arguments back in the days. 

Shadow, who was watching at the side, broke himself from his trance as he went behind Ava, his arm wrapped around her shoulders as he looked down on Morgana who was obviously still in a daze. 

"Leave now or you won't know what will happen next," he threatened, Morgana now slowly turning her head to look at Shadow who had his arm wrapped around Ava. 

'That could have been me in his arms... that could have been me.'

"Are you really deaf?" Ava crossed her arms in front of her chest as she looked at her condescendingly. "Get out!"

"A-Ava..."
