I woke up in a hospital bed to a shouting match between Firdaus and Nirvesh.

"Are you out of your bloody mind?" Nirvesh was shouting. "How can you even think this will work?"

"I have to," Firdaus yelled back. "I love her too much!"

"You are destroying your own life! You are destroying your wife's life! How could you do this, Firdaus? Do you not know how much Jags loves you? Don't do this. Don't drive her away. Apologise to her, beg at her feet, and she will forgive you. I know she will." Nirvesh was begging. He never begged, but he was pleading with my husband on my behalf.

"This is for the best," Firdaus replied.

"You bastard," Nirvesh swore. "This is going to kill her, you know that. You are murdering your wife in cold blood. Please, Firdaus, don't do this."
