Édouard was ready to face his father. He looked at himself in the mirror and took a deep breath. Charlotte hugged him from behind and he tilted his head.

"I want to come too," she said and went to his front. Her hands rested on his chest and she peered into his eyes. "I will stay silent beside you," she asserted.

Édouard smiled and nodded at her.

Charlotte lifted her body on her toes and kissed him. She landed back on her feet and said, "Édouard, everything will turn fine."

"I hope so," Édouard said and held her hand. They both came out of the dressing room.

"Your Grace, I got informed that Consort Ariane and her brother framed Prince Philip in treason," Charles informed the two of them.

Both Édouard and Charlotte looked at each other. They did not waste any other second and headed to see the King. The servant let them enter the King's chamber.
