"13th Division, Defensive Tactics & Seireitei Protection- that's who we are. The 13th Division is the ones that actually send out patrols on a daily, frequent basis to survey Seireitei. If a threat occurs, we find and take care of it, sometimes with help from other divisions. We also work together with various divisions. If a threat is a large enough, the 13th Division is in charge of sending out shinigami, assembling them, assigning them duties, and other things. Our job is similar to the 10th, except on a smaller basis." Shiba explains as he tours Erza around the barracks. "Shiba Chūi, Erza chan!!!" a petite girl with a dark blond hair and gray eyes is running towards them, she stopped right in front of the two panting as she rest her hands on her knees. "The captain seeks your presence at his office, there is a special mission for Erza chan" she said in between breaths. Erza looked at Shiba and smiled "Looks like I have my first mission" she said raising her right hand forming a fist. She tapped Kiyone's shoulders and smiled "Thank you, I'll head the office now" then she walked past her when Shiba grabbed her hand "I'll go with you" he said which earned him a nod from the red head.
Erza stopped walking when she felt a slight prickle on her ear and when she looked back she saw Shiba playing with a few strand of her hair twirling it around his fingers "Scarlet... just like you hair..." Erza looked at him quizzically "huh?" she asked "I think we should call you Scarlet, you hair color is beautiful, yeah Scarlet of the thirteen" he said with a wide grin, Erza can't help but blush on the man's comment "Uhm, okay" she answered and continued walking towards the captain's office but he is not there and Shiba took Erza's hand again and lead her to Ugendō where they found Ukitake resting sitting peacefully around the pond full of Koi fishes and turns around smiled gently at the two "Oh thank you for bringing Erza chan here Shiba" handing out a folder to the red head "That's your mission details, you will be working with other division. There has been some report about a female high school girl that is suspected to be a bount who has been consuming human soul and is rumored that is connected with Shinigami Research and Development Institute failed experiments. Your goal is to detect who is that creature so we can put her to stop." then he coughs uncontrollably "Ukitake Taichō, are you okay" she asked with concern, "I'm fine, I'm just having one of my worst days" he said with a smile.
"I don't wanna do this" Erza whispered to Shiba who is fixing her earpiece for communication "Why do I have to do this and pretend a high school girl?" she insisted as Shiba makes sure her communication tool is not visible "You are the only female that looked like a high school girl" he answered with a giggle "And why does my name written here as Scarlet?" Shiba smiled before answering "We can't let anyone know that you're the famous Erza Belserion now don't we? and besides that is your 13th division code name, right?" he teased as Erza rolls her eyes "What are you laughing at geta-bōshi kun?" she shot him a stern and annoyed look "Nothing, you really look cute in a high school uniform, don't worry too much you have us, we're your team" he assured her "And look everything is under surveillance, we are watching everything from here" Renji added and Erza grunted and clapped her hands "Why don't I go undercover as a teacher? That's a good idea!!!" she said excitedly "What exactly are you going to teach? How to be a gang leader? or how to beat up boys to a pulp? ah how to kill?" Urahara said trying to annoy her which turned her happy face into a frown"Fine, I just don't like studying" she said sheepishly as she jumped out of the surveillance van where the rest of the boys are staying. She walked inside the campus annoyed with all the stares she's getting from the boys and chatters from the girls.
"Alright brats listen up, I want to introduce a new student joining our class. Welcome her! I need you to become friends with her, OK?. Go ahead, introduce yourself" the teacher stated. Erza stood straight, chin held up and with full of authority she said "I'm Erza Scarlet" and the students looked at her with shock and confusion because of the way she talked that sounded like a military commander and realization hits her "Nice to meet you, guys" she said in an awkward manner and bowing down and as she was getting up one of the male student winked at her and licked his lips earning a death stare from Erza and he hid himself in terror "Alright, got anything else to say Erza chan?" the teacher added and she just shook her head gripping the straps of her back bag. "you can sit on the vacant chair at the back" she bowed in answer and went towards the chair when she accidentally stared at a girl who stared back at her and she felt uneasy because of the nasty feel she has "Kyaaaaaahhhhh!!!!" Erza is now lying on the ground face on the floor which earned a wild giggle and teasing from her classmates. She stood up quickly brushed it off and sat down not removing her eye from the girl with a nasty feeling seated on the other row. "Alright class president" the teacher called and a guy stood up and said "Attention" the all students sat up properly and in chorus they said "I love you all", a girl wit short hair and glasses who was brushing her hair and looking at her mirror sat beside her "Hey, what's with the I love you all?" she asked "It's sensei's idea of not making anyone feel left out." she explained "Oh, that's new" Erza commented "The girl stared at her chest "What's with that over sized boobs? is that an inflammatory disease or something?" the girl asked arrogantly "Oh look who's talking, what's with that wrinkles and dark eye circles? Is that an aging disease or something?" she shot back at her annoyed face twitching.
The girl ran out of the room. the girl sitting in front of her looked at her shaking her head while playing with her hair "It's over for you girl" she said "What?" the red head answered.
"The leader of the school's girl gang protects her."
"Gang leader?"
"Yeah, She's cold blooded and ruthless. Just tell her, you're sorry.Once someone pushes her buttons, nothing's gonna stop her!"
Then a group of female students who are rogue looking not following the standard school uniform entered the room and behind them the girl who ran away. The girls who were just talking to Erza ran away as soon as they saw who's coming. They went towards Erza, and the leader kicked the chair beside her and grabbed her collar "You're new here. Don't forget that. You should watch what you say and do, bitch!" the other gang girl took her hair from her high ponytail and commented "what a weird hair color" then the leader again threatens Erza "And why are you causing trouble on your first day, bitch?" Erza just remained silent trying to keep her cool and ignoring them. But it annoyed the gang leader even more and held her chin making her face her. "Are you trying to get yourself killed, bitch?" She knocked Erza on the side of her head and spit on the floor next to her "In the yard, at lunch, be there. If you don't show, you can say goodbye to that cute face of yours. It's over for you, bitch" then they walked out, Erza stood up with dark aura surrounding her "Hey wretches!!!" she called out and they all faced her "Where is the direction to the yard?" she asked.
During lunch at the yard the six female bullies who claims that they are the school gang is now kneeling in front of an angry Erza with their faces full of bruises, cuts, dirt and blood. "You! Think twice about trying to be so tough on someone." Erza scolds them "Or I'll make you regret ever being born and I'm sick of your dirty little mouth calling people bitch!" she threatened the leader. "Yes, ma'am" the leader said bowing on all fours to Erza and she smirked at the students surrounding them and walked away earning herself such a reputation and went straight to the school cafeteria. She is holding her tray of food and saw the girl with a nasty feel on her sitting alone, no one dared to sit with her, so she decided to sit across her.
"Hi, we're on the same class right?" Erza greeted and the girl just looked at her and went back to her food "I just transferred here today, let's be friends?" Erza said trying to be friendly. The girl did not answer nor look at her and stood up "Excuse me" and walked out. She has a pretty long, soft brown hair, parted on the side. Erza watch her go away with disappointment in her face knowing that she is her mission target, out of frustration she began shoving her fork into her strawberry cheesecake and ate a mouth full.
A tall handsome guy sat on the chair that the girl left across Erza that has a puffy face due to a big chunk of cake she took. "Don't take it personal. She's, I mean Yoshino Sōma is just shy, that's all." Erza looked at the source of the voice with whipped cream all over her face. The guy smiled at her and leaned a little closer to her face looking directly at her eyes which made her back away a little "I'm Itsuki Yuuto." then wiped Erza's face with his thumb and licking the cream off it. "I'm new here too, how about being friends?" he said and took a sip from his tea "uhm, right" Erza said swallowing her cake "Friends? What class are you in?" she asked then Yuuto bowed down before saying "I love you all" and playfully smiled at her "My class?" Erza let out a small laugh.
Back at the classroom after lunch while the teacher is lecturing Erza is eyeing on Sōma, observing her and trying to figure out if it's reiatsu that she feels or something else but she is sure that she's up to no good, then she saw Yuuto from the other side of the room staring at her and when their eyes met he made a cute smile which made Erza uncomfortable and looked away.
"This is where you'll be staying during the mission, Do you like it?" Urahara said as they entered an apartment as Erza looked around she was captivated by the strawberry designed wallpaper, pretty overwhelmed actually, the bed sheet has strawberry prints and strawberry shaped pillows "What's all this shit about? I love strawberries but this is just too much" she commented and Urahara laughed behind his fan "Yoshino Sōma might come over any time so, I made sure to make everything look like a normal high school girl's room" he explained "Again, the excessiveness is unnecessary" she commented. She looked out the window while Urahara said "That's where she lives, nice view so you can still spy on her" Erza smirked "Good thinking" then she pushed Urahara away and punched him on the face her face red with blush "What the hell was that for?" Kisuke giggled, "I just missed you and since we're in your room thought that we could" his words were cut off with Erza's round house kick. "Stop groping me and kissing me anywhere without my permission" she growled "So if I ask permission will you allow it?" Kisuke teased as he stands and straightens himself up "Maybe" Erza answered looking away biting her bottom lip then she pushed him outside the door and locked it.
It's already dark, Erza is wearing a black shorts topped with a sleeveless white tank top, her hair tied up in a messy bun a she leans on the balcony and reads the data book given to her by Urahara before leaving her apartment, she reads out loud:
"Yoshino Sōma, Female, Bount, Karakura Town, Human World, Jin Kariya, Goethe...." she was startled at a sudden voice behind her.
"What are you reading?" her eye widen as she hides the book behind her unable to utter any words.
"What book is that" the voice said again.
"Death in Midsummer and Other Stories (1953) by Yukio Mishima" She answered remembering Lucy's favorite novel.
"You have taste!" he commented and smiled.
"Yeah, I like classics. What are you doing here, anyway?"
"Me? I live here." said Yuuto who is in the balcony just next door.
Erza just stared at him quizzically as he smiled at her then fire works began bursting different colors in the sky and he pointed towards it and they both watched it smiling. But he was just staring at her with a smile "It's beautiful" she said, "Yeah beautiful" he answered.
