She rushed out of the ballroom, feeling like something just sucked all the air out of her. She gasped for air once she was out of sight. But she knew she was not yet in the clear.
She knew she had to get out of there. She would have run faster if not for her high heels. Now, she wished she had worn her favorite sneakers.
What was going on? She was completely and utterly confused. Did she hear them correctly? Or she was processing the information erroneously.
"What did he mean?" She thought of what the Count had told her mother.
His voice still rang inside her ears as his words continued to play in her mind. "Eida, I am just thinking of what is best for everyone."
What was the Count talking about? She could not help but wonder, trying to determine the connection between her mother and this nobleman.
What was her mother not telling her?
Thanks again for your continued support.
But with my current condition, I am not too sure if I can keep up with a regular update for this book this month.
One of my family members had a stroke and I am one of his primary caregivers. Therefore, it would be hard to concentrate on writing and working all at the same time.
So, I am advising everyone not to purchase my privilege unless you just want to help.
But I will still try my best.
Thank you again.
