Nie Shaoqing did not have to say anything much Lv Ming's actions had cemented his earlier words. Old Madam Lv and her daughter-in-law left almost immediately.

Duchess Fu and old madam Nie put on the act of being concerned elders for some minutes before dismissing them. 

Liqiu was still asleep when he returned to his room, he sat by the bed for some time before heading to his study.

Liqiu woke up three hours later, she hissed as she felt a buzzing pain on her shoulder. She blinked a few times before opening her eyes, the sky was gradually getting darker.

She pulled back the blanket and slowly sat up, her lips twitched as his gaze fell on Manlin that sat by the bed napping. 

She glanced around the room and smiled, "looks like I am in young master Shaoqing's room". She winced as she gently rubbed her back. Her skin felt sour.
