章節 5: Wolf-like beast

2 days pass as I'm locked in that room. I haven't seen Aiden at all. The only one who comes in here is a woman in her early 30s, she doesn't talk to me or respond to any of my questions. She brings me meals all day and new set of clothes that actually fit me. The only time she speaks is when she asks me if she can get me anything else. It's frustrating.
I guess this is a sign that I'm not the first person they kidnapped. I've tried screaming but no ever comes. I flop down on the bed and turn on the TV on the opposite wall. I hear a click sound and the door slowly opens, I look at the time. It's not lunch yet so it's not the maid. Mike comes in and closes the door behind him. He smiles at me and stare at him. He sighs and seat on the couch facing the bed.
"How are you holding up?" He asks me concern written over his face.
" how am I holding up? Seriously? Okay let me see, firstly I've been kidnapped, secondly I've been locked up for 2 days without anyone to talk to and lastly Aiden hasn't shown his face here even though he told me he would see me later." I cross my arms " so I am fucking pissed and I want to go home please." I give him my signature puppy eyes
"I'm sorry, Aiden is..." he trails off as If trying to find the right words. He clears his throat looking uncomfortable "Well let's say something is holding him back from seeing you, he is not okay but I promise he will come for you tomorrow."
" Mike please I want to go home. I can't stay here. I don't know you guys." I cry, trying to make him understand. "If you let me go, I will do anything I promise just leave the door open and I will escape."
"Aiden would kill me if I did that. And please just stay in your room tonight, it's not safe outside. Don't try anything tonight okay. Just please."
He stands up and walks to the door. I look from him to the door. He just chuckles "Don't even think about it. You can never run from us. I will see you tomorrow." He closes and locks the door.
I sigh and flop down the bed, this is a prison. A prison with great food and a comfy bed.
While I'm watching TV at about 10pm at night. The door lock clicks, I wait for who ever unlocked it to come inside but nobody does. I stand up and walk to the door. I listen but it's quiet. I slowly open the door but there's no one there. I look left and right but no one is here. Maybe it's Mike, he decided to help me.
I go back inside and put on some sneakers and a hoody. I take some fruit from the tray and water. I walk out and close the door slowly. The mansion is made of grey stone and has large windows that let in natural light. This mansion looks likes its been around for a long time. It must be expensive. I look outside and there's a full moon so atleast I will be able to see in the dark. I walk passing many rooms but it's surprisingly quiet here. Like nobody is here. Did they leave me here all alone? I sneak past a large kitchen and finally I see the front door. I open it slowly. I don't even have time to close it. I just run towards the forest.
I run as fast as I can until I've put on some distance from the mansion and me. The forest is quiet but I can see thanks to the moon. I'm running close to the road, just in case I see a car. I run and run until I feel like my legs are burning.
I lean against a tree to take a deep breath. A loud howl sounds in the forest and its so loud , the trees shake. Its like what ever is making it is angry. Fear spikes in as a look around. Ooh God I'm so stupid. I didn't think about what could be lurking in these woods. The only thing I wanted was to get away from that place. Should I go back? No they will just make sure I never step foot outside again. Another howl sounds but this one is softer and it's like its made by a pack of Wolves. I take off running again.
I run and run until my lungs burn. I take a short break to catch my breath. I take out a bottle of water to drink but I hear a crunching noise from the right. I look and I see blood shot red eyes staring at me. What ever it is it's big and tall. I run the other way, going deeper into the forest. I'm so fucking stupid. What was I thinking risking my life like this.
I hear footsteps behing me. I try to run faster but I end up, tripping and face down on the floor. I sit up and slowly turn around to the growling sounds behind me. I gasp landing on my ass when my eyes land on a wolf-like beast which is at least ten feet tall it's fur black as night , if there was no moonlight it would be invincible. It has sharp claws on hands that look more human than wolf. It's snarling at me which reveals its sharp teeth, saliva dripping down it's chin . I'm so dead. I release a scream when it takes a few steps towards me. I stramble back, crying. This is not what expected my death to be like. It growls when I move backwards. I've never known this kind of fear.
It tower's over me. I fall on my back whimpering in fear. It growls in my face and I think im gonna shit myself. Another set of howls ring in the forest but they are close. I look to the right and I see a pack of Wolves. They look like normal wolves but they are 5 times bigger. They are going to eat me. My eyes move back to the beast above me.
It moves its face close to mine and it sniffs me. God I wonder if i smell good enough to eat. I black out in fear.
