The penetrative rays of the sun shimmered through the window into the room, announcing the arrival of a brand-new day. 

Zale's brows drew together slightly as he tried to adjust his vision to the light when he felt Pearl move on his body. 

With each passing day, Zale could tell that the bond between them grew closer than he had ever imagined would be possible. 

She nuzzled against his chest like a child enjoying a fairytale dream. As disturbing as it may seem, Zale had no problem whatsoever. 

He watched her sleep cutely, imagining if anything would happen that would ruin this simple peaceful state she was in. 

Just watching over her, his mind went back to the previous day and all that had happened. Not that he bothered so much about it, but he could not shake off the feeling and bad energy he was getting from so many sources yesterday.
