章節 219: Time is of the essence

"Xiao Lei, are you alright?" Han Ye asked after driving for quite some time. 

Xiao Lei, who was sitting at the passenger seat, nodded tersely. "I'm fine." 

"You don't look that well... Are you hungry? I'll buy you something to eat." 

"No." 

Han Ye frowned. For her to say no to his treat meant that she was not fine at all! But seeing how she obviously did not want to talk, he did not push her further. 

They drove back to the hotel quietly with Xiao Lei staring out of the window the entire time. She did not even say a word. When they got back to their suite, she merely walked straight back to her room and close the door behind her. 

Han Ye stared at her door as he took off his suit and bowtie. He then made some calls. Once he was done, he checked on his and DX's email accounts and did his job of sorting DX's email messages. 

30 minutes later, a hotel maid came up with a cart that was full of different types of food and drinks.
