I looked at the night sky. The argent stars and the full moon. The nights were beautiful in this world with millions of stars forming various constellations. There was no need for any lamp or light since the night was illuminated by the heavenly bodies. Once I saw a shooting star and I prayed to be released from this world but the wish was unfulfilled.
I hurriedly draped the thin piece of cloth over my body covering my belly. Usually, Nayasa would scold me for such an action however today she was silent. She did not speak a single word while clutching my arm.
My owner was powerful
After looking for some while we saw him. He had masquerade mask decorated with cold and silver. Standing in front of a black carriage with no insignia, he maintained utmost secrecy of his identity. He waved at us and called out to Nayasa.
'Take care' It was the first time in a while that I heard these words. I had already lost all hope and thought of my body as nothing but a vessel for my broken soul. I did not understand her ambiguous words. Whether she said to take care of my physical state or mental since Nayasa was the one to destroy both of them.
'You too' I said as a formality.
It was the first time I saw Nayasa smile bitterly. Behind her flamboyant look and charms she felt guilty about taking the childhood of so many girls and parting with them by selling them. Her true nature was shown to me a little too late. I hated her from the core of my being.
'I can only accompany you till these stairs go to him by yourself.'
'OK'
I started walking. It was only twelve steps from the stairs. The man was dressed in black attire with a diamond broach. He looked mysterious and dangerous. I walked slowly towards him, as slowly as my feet could take me., looking at him, examining his proud way of standing, his athletic frame and his unarmed waist. I reached him and looked at his eyes.
They were resplendent. They were golden colored

The man signaled me to sit down in the carriage and I followed without making any noise
