Shouko's voice turned softer and softer yet her grip on his arms became tighter. She stared at the man whose face was now grim. He looked like he was shrouded in something murky and dark, giving people an unfathomable feeling.

"Yes. We have a son."

The veins in his temple popped out as he closed his eyes. When Kyoya opened them again, Shouko was surprised to see how bloodshot they appeared right now.

She desperately hoped what she heard from him was just a joke.
