章節 23: Chapter 23: Hudson Comes Home

Thea's POV

I sit on the couch and wait for my eyes to adjust to the darkness. I look around and realize Hudson is still not back.

As I am debating on whether to spend the rest of the night on the couch or make my way up to the spare bedroom, the door bursts open, smacking loudly into the wall. The door hits so forcefully that I would not be surprised if the hinges were broken.

A dark figure saunters into the entryway. Almost immediately, I recognize Hudson's outline.

"Hudson, I'm so glad you were back. I was so worried when you didn't get home before dark. Emma said that you were just going to blow off some steam, but I was worried you went to confront the Alpha…"

It's weird that Hudson does not respond, but then I notice his figure start to sway. I start to stand to make my way toward him when he collapses.
