Heya guys! Cyclxne here.

This chapter mainly covered a 'date' between Mei Gui and Xuan Kai...but before you say anything, no, this was not a filler chapter. You'll understand why if you read the next one, which I will release tomorrow.

This build-up of events will eventually lead to the climax of this arc: The Fall of Shenzhen. So after countless character developing and peaceful chapters, the action finally arrives. I'm still planning out the details, but knowing me, I'm going to throw those plans right out the trash once I actually start writing that part. I'm just that kind of person.

So then...why do I still make plans in the first place then, you ask?

Well, honestly? I don't really understand myself. Like by 'plan', I don't really mean firing up a Word document and brainstorming using point notes and stuff. What I mean is I'm just thinking. Thinking about what I'm going to write for future plot, while I'm off doing something else. I tend to brainstorm a lot in bed, before I sleep. Funny how my brain is the most active right before it shuts down for sleep.

Yes, I know, my fellow nerds out there. The brain does not actually shut down when you're sleeping. Dreams exist. I was just trying to make a really bad joke, man...at least allow me to do this, yeah?
