Lai almost fangirled at his remark, "Take care and greet him for me."

Zhou waved goodbye and left a smiling Lai seated by herself.

"Wow," Lai breathed out, eating the rest of the chocolate cake, "Little Teng is brave for confronting his feelings. And then you get me."

She sighed.

"I don't know what I feel."

She stared at the half-eaten cake before her. Her feelings for Bai were complicated; at least to her, they were. She didn't know whether she really liked him in that way or not.

'Either way,' she sighed again, 'it's not like I can have time for a relationship because my life is so messed up. Who wants to date someone with so much baggage?'
