The author have its way to express the emotion and the description just makes it even more better, loveable characters...I feel like I can really connect to it. Kinda searching for a good Mafia story for a long time and I feel I finally found it in this book. The MC, Lai, is a strong, self-driven and optimistic young lady despite the condition of her family. I like how the author can convoy this to the reader in just first 3 chapters! This gonna be a hella (and fun) of a ride!

The level of writing in this book is simply excellent, demonstrating the author's mastery of language and storytelling. Every sentence is elegant and beautifully crafted, painting vivid pictures of the characters and their world. But it's not just the quality of the writing that makes this novel so engaging. The plot is well-paced and expertly constructed, with just the right amount of tension and suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat.

Nothing except excellent writing, descriptions, and anything else comes to mind. I believe that it well-written and has the power to captivate readers. It felt like reading a scene from a movie because of all the time and location changes, and I find that to be confusing. The first chapter does a fantastic job of establishing the type of story I would anticipate given the summary.

I've read 4 chapters and I'm conflicted. It's excellent writing, but, I'm confused on the heavy emphasis on Lai. It seems like the man at the beginning was the mafia ceo? That doesn't detract any high marks though. I'm just wondering why the the quick intro.

This work is artistic and compels the reader to finish it. Well written the only issue I had was the switching of the point of views of the characters, but it was done clearly enough. Mysterious too, a total delight readers will definitely consume this! :)

I love the pacing of the story, fluid and descriptive. Even if it is a slow burn romance, I like how the characters are designed. We can see through the plot, their struggles and unique features. I love Mafia stories and this author did a wonderful job with this popular genre. The grammar is perfection and the story has an amazing flow. I'm honestly not a big of fan of slow-burns but the author nicely makes sure there's no space for boredom while reading this. Keep up the good work!! [img=recommend]
